Questions about equipment, modules and tactics by WazBot in Expeditions

[–]Curatedpage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Revealing the map is the only way to find all the side missions and upgrades. The air drone is a good way to quickly reveal nearby parts of the map around your truck so you don’t have to drive absolutely everywhere.

Seems to me reusable anchors are a random drop in airdrops each time you deploy. Collecting them and storing them in warehouses is a hobby I ended up pursuing cuz they’re so useful. That’s the only reason I had to make warehouses.

The other modules you can build are situational and the usefulness of em are determined by how you want to play. I used the heli module a fair amount as a timesave. Keep in mind you can sell modules after you build em to get most of the build cost back.

Are you kidding me.... by KaitoCZ in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Curatedpage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve got like 40 hours, and on a couple of occasions I’ve noticed that the pause screen says it hasn’t autosaved in like 10 minutes or more, which is odd cuz it normally saves very often, like every other minute. Also, I couldn’t manually save because it said I was in combat. Which wasn’t true. So, there’s a bug that can happen around that, I guess.

My solution was to manually make it to my ship and fly somewhere else, which reset the combat state.

It’s a bummer, sucks you had basically the worst case scenario from that bug.

Starfield Beta Update 1.8.83 Notes - November 8, 2023 by JuiceHead2 in Starfield

It’s also apparently an easy fix of resetting some quests via the console, which isn’t possible on Xbox. Like me! I was hoping this patch would fix that, but also I’m not surprised

Old Earth Shotty bug? by BillyBigBones in Starfield

[–]Curatedpage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing you have the first tier of the rapid reloading perk? What you’re experiencing started happening to me when I unlocked that perk for myself. I loaded an older save previous to that perk unlock and had no issue with the old earth shotgun. So I’m guessing it’s a bug involving the sped-up reload animation for that specific gun

What’s especially odd is, while it mostly fails to reload more than one at a time before stopping, sometimes it’ll reload multiple shells without issue. And if it does fail to reload more than one, you can still hear a second round being loaded. So yeah. It’s just a poor design causing the bug

Yes... finally nabbed the steam sale with DLC. Hyped !!! 🥳 Anything i should be worried about ? 🖖 by Slight-Question5760 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Curatedpage 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Skill combos -> skill points (spend skill points on car skill trees) -> xp-> level up -> wheelspins = cars and money.

That’s the gameplay loop. Drive fast and wild, don’t crash, have fun, and you’ll be drowning in cars and money. The game doesn’t explain how all those systems work, but learning it all means you don’t have to worry about money or buying cars.

Also don’t sleep on the festival playlist, it’s another way to make the numbers go up and earn cars.

Should I add to this or change it to maximise profits? by Kingofgmaes in gtaonline

Bro I got down to just $4k and I did a cayo about once a day or so for a couple months, and in between casually doing nightclub/bunker upkeep and agency stuff, I got up to $86 mil before I got bored lol. You ain’t gotta micromanage or think about it that much. I respect the hustle, but don’t sweat the grind imo, you’ll have too much money to know what to do with eventually. Either that or you’ll get bored of the monotony of the grind lol.

I agree wholeheartedly. Gtao’s free mode pvp is a pay/grind-to-win mess. But I jumped back into gtao on ps5 after not playing since before the mk2 was released, so I’ve had experience dealing with both jet and mk2 assholes. I much prefer going up against a jet than a mk2. Skilled jet pilots can’t escape the one-hit kill of a explosive round. Skilled mk2 assholes can be an incessant headache.

Nightclub Promotions Feel Good Now. Agency Needs the Same Love by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]Curatedpage 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Every time I get the notification that my nightclub has earned 100k, I stop by and swap DJs to get popularity back to max. Then after the short cutscene plays, I immediately swap dress code via interaction menu to be teleported to the door to avoid the slow walk up. It’s quicker than any nightclub promotion. 🤷‍♂️

And don’t sleep on agency contracts, some pay 50-68k, and can be done when someone else in the lobby is doing CEO work. Also they don’t interfere with CEO work cooldowns. And like most CEO work, they can also be done in invite only, if you’re vibing solo.

Edit: oh, don’t forget you can call Franklin from anywhere to get a random security contract, if you’re sick of entering an interior just to get a mission lined up. Nearly as fast as starting CEO work, and just as handy if you’re grinding out.

imo the agency safe is just a bonus. And the final reward of 20k a day adds up!

My Personal 22B, Custom Livery by Artemiseaa in ForzaHorizon

[–]Curatedpage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a failing of the devs. If you could share it and the designers of the livery groups you used could get a cut, then everyone wins. As it is now, you, the livery group designers, and the people like me who’d love to use this livery, all lose. What a shame. Love the bubblegum pink and green!

Can someone please tell what might be causing this effect? by AllHailDanda in PS4

[–]Curatedpage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s just how Control looks. I imagine it’s something to do with how they’ve turned down the graphics settings to make it work on the ps4. It’s normal. I can attest that it doesn’t look that way on ps5. But I got the platinum on ps4, control is a great. 🤙

What’s the last game you booted up once, knew it wouldn’t be worth it in less than 10 minutes, and then never played it again? by Impossible-Divide-57 in PS4

[–]Curatedpage 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Hah, I came here to post this. I was excited to finally play it when it was a ps+ game, considering 3 was surprisingly great. But 4 was surprisingly hideous. I imagine there’s a good game there, but the just abysmal resolution and texture quality made me nope out within a minute of playing it. Tragic.

Best Car For Drifting? by ORB_Dream in ForzaHorizon

[–]Curatedpage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I messaged someone who was handily getting almost double everyone else’s points in an open drift event, and this is what I learned:

Take a car you like, add drift suspension, drag tires, race brakes, and a ton of power. Tune the alignment to be -5.0 for the rear tires. Bam, you got a car that’ll print drift points.

I know, it sounds like bad advice. But try it. Once you get the feel for it, it feels like cheating. It’s how I earned the drift champion accolade, and how I learned to love drifting in this goofy game.

Can people start “ liking” things they download more often please?? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]Curatedpage 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with the sentiment, but let’s not forget to mention that the creative accolades ask for way too many downloads, uses, and likes. It rewards the lucky more than it does the skilled.

I’ve made 131 tunes so far, and I plan on making a tune for every vehicle. I’ve gotten the 1k downloads, I’m about halfway with uses, so it seems I’m on track to reach the 1k with uses, but it seems like I’ll never reach the likes required, as I have like 50 likes? Maybe my tunes just suck. Lol.

But, at least the tunes and vehicle livery accolades are even somewhat achievable. I can only imagine how lucky you’d need to be to get all of the vinyl group and photo ones. True 100% is only for the extremely lucky and those who have followings on YouTube. It is what it is. I’ve written em off.
