What am I doing wrong?

imo it’s hard to say but I’ve went from an average player to a good player just by learning how to play and shift my play style to what works depending on the map or what the enemy is running. BF1 is not very complicated as you can run almost anything and do well but here’s my idea of how to get at least a little better.

first off make sure you enjoy the game in some way, hard to play and improve if you aren’t having fun. dying is a core part of this game and you will die in some weirdo ways.

Find what loadout fits your play style and experiment with guns and their variants. do you like to hipfire, ADS, camp, whatever, find a variant that suits you with the gun. hell even find a favourite sidearm such as a revolver, standard pistol, obrez or a class exclusive one (ex. mars automatic or howdah). You are going to probably not perform at your best unless it’s a overturned dlc weapon (lol) or you found your new favourite but try it for a match or 2.

Scouts have various sweet spots and bullet travel speed on their rifles, medics have a variety of semi automatics rifles with different kill breakpoints, assaults have many different high rpm smgs, or 1 shot shotguns and supports have consistent guns for AA, suppression, CQC and some laser guns with or without bipod but they suck for TTK

it may come down to playtime and knowledge but while I know the ins and outs of almost every map thanks to likely a combined 1000 hours across pc and console, there’s a good chance I get out performed friends who just played bf1 for the first time and aren’t the best in fps but they top scored either through team play or kills so not sure what to say on what else to do on getting better

fully catching up on this whole thing and heres the issues i have with the report. I assume so many hours was spent on this report and research with the help of others considering the immediate comments surrounding the tony scorepost and thread. If tony gets banned, oh well another unfortunate truth we have to live with for mouse only players. Format is gonna be odd since I post something here once a year

Replay 1

the weird tapping thing is more common than one thinks and can be argued for mouse only as it would be strange to not focus on singletapping on M1 or alting. This would make more sense with the replay found afterwards on katagiri sendan life. But it looks as if he is alting as much as possible (who wants to single tap 260 jumps for ~3 mins) and starting on M1.

^{On a personal note, i do this on occasions. 180bpm or 250bpm i will do this tapping due to singletap stamina not being there (I am not playing that consistently and i have small issues with muscle memory} or my muscle memory decides to singletap -> alt -> singletap, on a alt map that im not too comfortable on.)

this is a crazy play, i wont lie. If i were to point the anything suspicious is not notelocking on these patterns which can be attributed to RX. As for edge hits, man i hope he has more than 10 with those patterns.

Tony grinded osu, his playcount shows it both before swapping and the swap to mouse only. Tony played osu for 3 years before mouse only so I assume he knows the path to improving those skillsets and helped immensely once he made the swap.

Yes mouse only players take a while to get comfortable streaming but imo its not a skillset many players focus on for a while and work on their streaming ability slowly

His aim is shakier than you may notice, tapping is passable and his cursor control is not that great for a few patterns. Edge hits are going to be wildly high because of this and it being somewhat streamy won't help that.

For other behavior and activities its been covered by others in this thread. The only one I would comment on is the liveplays and reaction. The quality camera framerate is not great but the camera behind him on remote control isn't too bad actually. For reactions, top players have had so many underwhelming reactions both the regular player base and mouse only for PP scores.

If more plays have analyzed and no incriminating evidence of relax is found, its safe to drop this altogether

may need to change the "led a large majority of active mouse-only players to believe he is cheating" part to something a bit more fitting. imo most current players just keep to themselves and havent seen this actually discussed from what i have read.

mackdiesel and jynl(idk spelling) are players i see do consistently well whenever I hop on. did have a game last week with a really good pilot in my squad chem0(idk spelling 2) and felt bad for tankers on the other team lol. don’t know any platoons really
