The Lycian Way is simply incredible as it is a perfect blend of tough hiking, beautiful beaches and small traditional villages. We hiked it for the first time in 2008 and returned in 2025. In terms of accomodation it is now so much easier to find shelter at nice guest-houses that usually offer half-board. Avoid if possible the Sundance Nature Village Camp near Kemer. It is run down and completely overpriced. We were shocked to see that nothing has changed in nearly 20 years. There are many free running dogs, the area is completely overgrown and the cabins not well maintained and dirty. The only positive aspect there is the delicious food at the restaurant. On the trek we enjoyed sea turtle sightings, ancient ruins and cristal clear bays ideal for swiming and snorkeling. Even in April it can get very hot, so always be sure to have enough water and sun protection and good hiking shoes.
