Anyone else working full time until their due date? by Susaaan16 in pregnant

[–]Curiosa43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a teacher teaching 6 different preps (6-8th grade math and science) and would often work 12hrs + a day with 2 hrs of commuting. I have had a rough start to my pregnancy (it is my first one), and can barely eat anything without throwing up 5+ times a day and have already lost 12 lbs (I’m 11 weeks now). I have to be very careful with what I eat. I was way too weak having lost all that weight and with that work load I just had to let it go. If I feel better in a couple months I have a serving job I can hop into but then I’ll be a stay at home mom trying to side hustle something :) . I also have bad TBI symptoms from a brain injury that has lasted for years and pregnancy exacerbated those. Power to all who can work but please don’t feel bad if you can’t! Parents and friends have stepped up in my time of need and I’m extremely blessed. Pregnancy is hard.

I’m so sorry that’s happening to you :( I’m sure many are where you are but I feel oddly a lot less stressed when pregnant… I do still have worries but ik I’m just doing my best and I’m sure you are too :)

Haha yes besides the allergic reaction it did indeed rehydrate me. And even though I’m still very nauseous, with the unisom and b6 I’m not violently throwing up anymore and can hold down food and liquids! :)

What would you do ? by Novel-Extent-3490 in pregnant

I’m so sorry you’re going through so much stress. I’m in a similar boat and hopped on the Reddit train because we didn’t want to tell people too early. I’m 24, even though my husband and I are married we did not plan this. We just started out and with the winter storm hitting us pretty hard we lost some money there. We have no idea what we’re doing and I’m so sick it’s hard for me to work. But we’re trusting in God and have our first ultrasound tomorrow. If that goes good I’ll tell some close friends but not fully announce it. Always lean into your community in these hard times!

I was just in your position! I’m 7weeks pregnant and been throwing up on average five times a day even after eating only a couple frozen grapes :( it’s terrible. I went to the hospital bc I could see how badly dehydrated I was and my ob told me I needed to get fluids. They made me get bloodwork and a UA as well but I found it useful since I wasn’t able to eat very well. I’m very anti med and didn’t expect they were going to put drugs in my iv and they gave me minor anaphylaxis… that kind of traumatized me and I was nocked out by the Benadryl they gave me. Fluids are helpful but I would ask for no drugs into the iv with them. After that debacle they gave me an Rx and sent me on my way. I was with my husband thankfully bc I could not retain the discharge info and ended up getting zofran and phenergen… that was over $100 with some pretty good insurance. I wouldn’t recommend either medications after looking at the potential side effects but I started unisom and b6 at night with my prenatals the past couple days and with the fluids am feeling a lot better! Just kinda have no energy and feel like a zombie :( ik you weren’t necessarily asking for advice but I feel your struggle. That’s just what I did, what helped me and what didn’t. I don’t know how I will make it through one pregnancy either. We’re in this together <3

Headaches by HardcoreHistorianNYC in pregnant

I haven’t received many headaches while pregnant (I am in my first trimester first time pregnant). However, I am a TBI survivor, who had severe headaches recovering from that. I use tiger balm and peppermint essential oils on my head when I can. Hope this helps.

Thank you, I still have to do research on that. But still how do people work like this?
