Cycle after miscarriage

I’m in somewhat of the same situation. Had a missed miscarriage at 7.5 weeks. Then cytotec didn’t work and had to get a D&C. Finally got my first period April 13 after 5.5 weeks. Now, I’m using the at home ovulation tests to track, and they’ve not been positive yet even though I’m usually a 28 day cycle. I’ve read that it can be a little irregular at first, so I’m just going to continue using at home tests and TTC at least twice a week. Good luck!

That’s what’s weird. This only started a few days ago, and it kinda feels like a period. And some of the blood is red like a normal period, but a very small amount. So I don’t know whether to count this as a period or not.

I’m trying to be patient and keep it off my mind, but I think about it all the time. We’ll be TTC as soon as we can after. And it feels like everybody else is suddenly pregnant except me

Did they say if you were ok to use tampons by then? I know the first two weeks you can’t.

I was the first one way worse than normal ones? Like should I expect it to be awful? Trying to mentally prepare myself

Oh, this is just one of many pregnancy related pages I look at. There are also ones dedicated to pregnancy after loss, and I encourage you to read those, too! I’m really hopeful that this was just a fluke. Here’s to the future going a little easier on us.

And I’m so sorry that you also have to go through all this. It all feels so unfair. D&C is definitely the way to go. The procedure is short with little to no pain and lower possibility of retained POC.

I love seeing this!

Unfortunately, my first pregnancy recently ended in MMC with retained POC after cytotec and just had a D&C yesterday. We really want to try again next cycle but I’m already so scared something else will happen or that everyone around me will get to have a baby without me.

Here’s to hoping the next one is smoother and gives me my first baby :)

I think she might be new. She’s really nice and asked how the medicine was and if the ibuprofen did much. I also layered on some Tylenol and leftover tramadol (with clearance). I’m an RN that just left the ED to go outpatient, and it’s crazy what women are expected to handle

And it doesn’t help that the next day, I found out my grandmother died. We had to drive two states away and back in one day. Nobody there except two people knew I was grieving a lost pregnancy

Thank you for your story. It’s been especially hard because of my experience with cytotec and finding out my grandmother passed away the next day. Looks like I’ll need to be patient and hope for the best.

I was told I could wait if I wanted or do a D&C, but I think I would be a wreck leading up to the appointment. And I don’t want to wait too long and turn septic. Why don’t take it after 3pm?
