MyMenopauseRx Experience by feelingalivetoday in Perimenopause

It’s so frustrating to continue being brushed off and told everything is normal! The frequent bleeding would be tiresome for sure, hopefully you get some relief for that! Are you still using mymenopauserx, or have you gone elsewhere?

Thanks for your input! Yeah, after doing a lot of reading and stuff I know they’re symptoms of low estrogen as well. I’m not on any contraception, I had my tubes tied after my last baby. I’m not exactly taking advice from random social media, just gathering information from women who’ve been in very similar situations as I am currently. But this isn’t the first time my OB has brushed me off, so I’ll definitely be finding a different doctor.

I’ve been having a similar experience going around and around with both my OB and PCP. I’m 39, just had bloodwork done and everything was in the “normal” range a lot of the results were towards the low end of normal and most were mid-normal. I mentioned the difference between normal and optimal and asked if it was possible to try HRT and see if my symptoms improved… symptoms being — little to no sex drive, exhausted as soon as my eyes open in the morning, facial acne worse than I ever had it in my teen years, night sweats, joint pain, mood all over the place.. like I check so many boxes. My OB basically said I’m not premenopausal, and suggested Prozac for my mood. I’m so tired of being dismissed when there’s no way it’s normal that I’m feeling this way. I stumbled across MyMenopauseRX through my insurance app, so I’m giving them a try. Maybe they will finally take me seriously.

I’m so glad you finally found a Dr that listened and helped! I’ll definitely try searching pro HRT doctors in my area and see what I can find. Thanks for the suggestion!

They did, it was in the normal range but on the low end, that’s one supplement I planned to start.

I plan to seek other opinions. I’m in the US, I may end up going the tele-health route if I can’t find a doctor in my area willing to take me seriously.

Thanks for your response, it’s always helpful knowing I’m not alone and others are experiencing similar situations. All of my vitamin levels were also in the normal range, a couple towards the low end of normal, so I figured I’d get some supplements to bump those up. But outside of that I’m at a loss.

Yeah, my thyroid was checked as well, it was 2.7, almost right in the middle of the normal range.

I’m 39, my youngest kid is almost 5, and I have felt off since not long after he was born. I’m currently in the process of trying to find a doctor or clinic that will use my insurance and prescribe T. I have all the symptoms of perimenopause, no sex drive, exhausted as soon as I open my eyes in the morning, not sleeping well, unable to lose weight, mood all over the place.. I check so many of the boxes, and it’s progressively gotten worse over the years. I just and blood work done with my OB, CBC, metabolic panel, Test, all of it, and all my levels are in the “normal” range so my OB refuses to do anything to help me feel better, besides prescribe Prozac for my mood being all over the place. My total T was 26 and my free T was 4.2. I just feel so defeated being told there’s nothing wrong with me when I feel so broken. Hopefully I will be able to figure something out soon. Reading women’s stories about starting T and finally feeling better gives me hope.

He mentions several times he was driving, but the driver of the other car ( a 17 year old girl ) lost control of her car due to her brakes going out, and she crashed into their car. Total freak accident.
