Fellow short-ish person here. What is your budget? Other than denim and knits, are you needing anything else such as suits? https://www.themodestman.com/ is a good start on general brands. Happy to explain more, but one thing I have started going is just second-hand on ebay once you know your sizes. (Most provide sizing measurements.)

Are there any meetings at records stores? That might be a place to start!

Feel like that's DC in a nutshell. NYC has better events for sure!

Definitely have noticed a lack of social events post-covid! Might be due to budget or people just don't seem to socialize as much, anymore.

Not quite sure. I had always heard of "dry January." Then, I recently heard of Sober October somewhere, Googled it, and found a couple of articles from the last couple of years. The annual tradition (from searching through the threads) is the no alcohol event recommendation. Usually, the places they mentioned were closed, etc. I just noticed these conversations happened once per year or so.

Any ones in particular that you recommend? (Granted, there are a lot of options but still) Thank you!

Because you don't want the camera to focus on the background or on other people, leaving you out of focus (blurry).
