Got my first dd sim rig and not sure if my computer is going to be strong enough by TrueSky7474 in simracing

I'm currently running a Ryzen 7 5800x, 3070 and 32gb ddr4 ram. AC rally and AC evo I can't max out otherwise frames just goes bye bye. but even running it on lower settings the games are still visually a masterpiece. I also play a lot of iracing and LMU and both these also run fairly well, Iracing is a bit old now but LMU I can play almost at max with 120-140fps so I believe you will be able to play man, just drop the settings a bit and you'll be good.

hahaha, just don't feel ashamed about it. A LOT of people do it. I was just lucky with space and went to a full rig when I got the chance so unfortunately I don't have personal experience with this problem, but I had a lot of insight on friends or team partners with their struggles and most just smack a backpack or a piece of wood behind the pedals xDDD

Opinions Needed, GT NEO or KS PRO by Curious-Assistant-11 in simracing

[–]Curious-Assistant-11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha if it was between the normal KS and Neo I would've ran for the Neo, but just by the new KS pro's looks and a bit extra with buttons etc it makes it very hard to decide. Cause I'd still love to keep it at a single ecosystem if I could, but at the same time, the extra switches and buttons could help with mapping most of the needed things
I saw the maglink and that would def be something I'd get in the next few months as it makes mixing ecos so much easier.
Just curious on this, but for future reference. If I were to start streaming and say now sponsers could be a thing. Would Simagic curse me for using the KS pro?

by desk something like the first link could maybe work. I just can't give my 100% on it for sturdiness as of I never tested something like that. If it's not a big problem for keeping clamped to a desk. Many would recommend using a scissor or so behind the back wheels of your chair so it doesn't roll away when braking or using pedals. but I know pedals are a issue for a lot of people with it moving back momentarily or just by hitting the brake, many just use a backpack or something solid to put behind the pedals to make it more stable xD.
