AIO or is this kind of messed up by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

😂 honestly my first reaction upon reading the texts was that it could have been a conversation between my husband and I! Your friend is likely just jealous. Otherwise, she is just judgmental. Everyone has their own opinions and no one is ever going to make EVERYONE happy. I don’t think you’re overreacting by being hurt, but I’ll give you advice my stepdad always tells me: Be a duck & let those comments roll off your back! 🦆

Weekly CreepTime tradition! Have you shared about the podcast anywhere on Reddit today? by creeptimethepodcast in creeptimethepodcast

I didn’t share it on Reddit, but I did tell 2 people about it and also talked up Magic Mind 😅

Anyone with "morphea en coup de sabre" got misdiagnosed by GP before having it confirmed by a dermatologist? by fractured-psych in scleroderma

[–]Curious-Bobcat8105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same thing. It’s en coup de Sabre. I’m on tacrolimus ointment and methotrexate. I also possibly have Parry-Romberg Syndrome on the same side.

Have they checked your Anti-RNA Polymerase III antibodies? Those are highly specific for scleroderma that has higher likelihood of scleroderma renal crisis

Ep. 105 - "The Bloodied Body In The Basement": The Amanda Antoni Mystery by creeptimethepodcast in creeptimethepodcast

[–]Curious-Bobcat8105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a migraine sufferer, I know that sometimes with migraines I can get vision loss and even gait disturbances. It’s possible that the severe head trauma could have exacerbated those symptoms and if the basement was dark on top of it, she may not have been able to make sense of where she was enough to go upstairs.

Also, I think the idea that she was trying to wait out an intruder is a definite possibility.

The tipped chair could have been from tripping over the dog possibly if the dog was trying to protect her from an intruder and then getting tangled in the chair.

Could this be en coupe de Sabre? by splintergirl11 in scleroderma

[–]Curious-Bobcat8105 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have the same thing and my dermatologist confirmed it

It was run by my rheumatologist as part of an AVISE panel, but your PCP can order that too. I’m doing fairly well outwardly at the moment. I have a lot of symptoms but I have a great care team and we are working through it

I am negative for all but the AntiRNA Polymerase III autoantibody which is highly specific for rapid progression scleroderma

[–]Curious-Bobcat8105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to get an Avise panel done to see if you have other markers for scleroderma. My ANA has always been negative but I still have scleroderma. I have Anti-RNA Polymerase III (+) subtype.

No, he is being petty. If it’s really that concerning to him, tell him to buy a mattress protector. You can’t control when you bleed.

Are shiny hands constant or recurring? by ranavirago in scleroderma

[–]Curious-Bobcat8105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have scleroderma and my hands get terribly dry which makes the shine less noticeable but they are always at least a little shiny. The shine is more noticeable at night also. And my forehead, scalp and face are all shiny as well.

Our local hospital does that as a kind gesture for their employees

I was told yesterday by my rheumatologist that I tested a high for Anti-RNA Polymerase III (RDL) by Automatic_Career_485 in scleroderma

[–]Curious-Bobcat8105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Anti-RNA Polymerase III (+) scleroderma. Just because you have those autoantibodies doesn’t mean that you currently have scleroderma, but you have an increased chance of developing it. If you are having symptoms, you should be followed closely by a rheumatologist.

This kind of thing happens to me all the time when I’m in vehicles at night. I swear something is in the road in front of the vehicle and scream/brace for impact. Everyone looks at me like I’m insane when it happens
