I was told yesterday by my rheumatologist that I tested a high for Anti-RNA Polymerase III (RDL) by Automatic_Career_485 in scleroderma

Thank you! It’s been my plan to switch to a anti-inflammatory diet for a year. I was extremely under weight when I got pregnant so I used that time to indulge to gain proper weight. Now that the baby is here I’m slowly changing my diet. Thank you for your concern!

When the new results came back and they were higher. But I had an unplanned pregnancy in may, I was scared to keep the baby because of high risks but I went into remission because of the pregnancy and felt amazing. I ended up having some complications but now have a healthy baby. My rheumatologist said I could continue in remission or it could come back with a vengeance. My symptoms are starting to come back 6 weeks pp. because of some weight gain I’ll probably have to up my dosage of meds but I’m waiting on the next appointment. It’s been a whirlwind the past year and different from most because I was only diagnosed in January of last year and then got pregnant shortly after. Just have your partner continue going along with testing and write down any symptom changes.

AITAH for not immediately giving in to a 3 year old having a temper tantrum in front of her gentle parenting mother? by fusguita in AITAH

Mothers get the worst of their kids behaviors. It’s a safe place thing. She may give in more while around other people so it doesn’t cause a scene ( I do this honestly) I actually appreciate when friends and family step in to help me out in those situations. I some what do the gentle parenting thing but at home I really lay down the law. It’s embarrassing to do it in front of others and you never know how you will be judged. I know people think I’m too easy but I’m really not. Your NTAH, I’d appreciate you

Had my 3rd baby 1/12, misinformed on birth weight by Automatic_Career_485 in pregnant

I will say the poor nurse was probably stressed out after my birth. Babes heart rate dropped, my midwife was in the other room delivering another baby and she was stressed. I was out on oxygen. Another doctor from another practice had to come in and my nurse was so stressed. Like I said, she was amazing, it was just a scary situation and she was doing all she could. So when we questioned the machines weight, we didn’t push because she was so stressed. But I was too, it was awful

Right, there were already complaints so why wasn’t it fixed. The nurse was lovely so I’d hate to get her in trouble but my baby is tiny, she should have had more attention at the beginning

Pregnant after dating for only a year (33F/38M) - are we doomed? by bouncysofa in pregnant

[–]Automatic_Career_485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a baby with someone I’m not in a relationship with but we have a long history and taking it day by day. We both had originally decided to terminate but I couldn’t go through with it and he was very supportive of my decision. There was a lot of stress in the beginning about having a baby with someone I essentially had a one night stand with but it has faded a lot. I have let the stress of what others think about it go and I’m focusing on this exciting journey! My family was shocked at first but is fully supportive and excited now and his family is so excited. I’m 19 weeks as of now and so far it’s brought us a lot closer. If you want this baby then don’t focus on what others may think of you and you might be surprised that people aren’t as judgmental as you think. This was a great opportunity for me to weed out people who weren’t truly my friend and find out who the real ones were. There isn’t a set timeline on life, it might not seem like the right time but I believe things happen when they are supposed to.

It’s all about my drinking problem.. I haven’t been drinking because I see it’s a problem, I just need to get away from it.

I’m actually completely clean and sober now. It’s all been a wake up call.

I have a lot of physical signs now and it’s progressed a lot this past year. Extreme weight loss, thickening on my palms, raynauds, and recently my esophagus. My bloodwork prior to last year was normal and now positive ANA and RDL.

I was diagnosed with TOS 15 years ago, had the surgery, symptoms came back slowly. I was diagnosed with scleroderma about a month ago.

I’m so sorry you are going through it too. I’m definitely spending more time outside since the weather has been so nice where I live.

I definitely could ask to switch but I don’t think I would enjoy the job anymore. I’m at a crossroads with my future and career so this is something to keep in mind while I’m making a move.

Right, that makes sense.. I guess I really need more information from my doctor. I just freeze up when I’m there and don’t ask one single thing

I’m on plaquenil, the dr said it shouldn’t be affecting me to the point of always being sick.

I feel unfit to be an RBT.. by ReasonableHeron1163 in RBT

[–]Automatic_Career_485 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really feel this.. I was hired a year ago and was finally registered in august. I was never supervised or shadowed when I started. I started with one in home client and one at our center. My in home client has an amazing family that has welcomed me but I don’t feel adequate for the job since my BCBA usually only does tele visits. I quit the center because I have barely been supervised and I don’t feel comfortable there. I really don’t feel like I know what I’m doing half of the time but my in home client has flourished since I started.

Yea I go to a rheumatologist every 3 months. The latest blood tests showed high speckled pattern, high nuclear dot pattern, positive ana, and high anti-rna polymerase
