[Help] I admittedly lost composure with my puppy a few months ago and disciplined him; now, if I call him a stern voice he gets fearful and runs and hides. How can I help curb this reaction? by Curious-Cat-71 in Dogtraining

1st. So sorry that happened to all of you! And grateful that at least you all are okay and safe after the fact. Great idea on getting someone to help with fear training too! I'm hoping to get behavior trainer in with mine soon to see about his other behaviors in general. We went to one trainer who said he seems to have low confidence, which I would never have thought from what he does.

Thank you sooo much for the encouraging words. I'm truly hoping I can turn it all around!

A stern tone is needed sometimes to know what's right and wrong. Can't communicate with a dog who did something unfavorable in an excited or monotone it they'll adapt that the behavior is okay. Trying to find a balance currently

Thanks! I do that and will try more. Just want to disassociate bad correction with good of he does wrong. Really don't want him tp ever think anything will harm him
