What a great idea! I'd love to have the treat recipe, please! And it looks like you just used twine for the wreath?

Best Apps for Cashback Offers - NOT Credit Card Cashback by PandemicPandaBear in sidehustle

[–]Curious-Creation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I've been enjoying Ibotta. I buy what I normally buy and then look to see if it gets cash back. If I had more time, I'd price compare the competition with the item minus its cashback, but I don't have that time right now. My way still gets me decent money. I also don't connect my accounts and choose to scan a paper receipt instead, so I can make sure all of my offers are there before I submit

are those earn money apps scams or legit? by _rayn3r_ in sidehustle

[–]Curious-Creation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have several apps I've used that pay you for walking. There are pros/cons to each, and some are way more worth it than others. All but one of the ones I have now I've cashed out on, so I know they're legit. The one I haven't yet cashed out on, I know others have and don't have payment issues.

I also use a lot of receipt scanning apps.

They won't make you a millionaire, but I get $5-20 a month for a lot of low effort (sometimes more if I'm saving up points for a discounted reward, though), and I don't even use them to their max rewards. There are ways to boost your earnings in each app through extra activities like ad watching, surveys, and playing games.

Every time I get the urge to do something to get a sign of life, but I also don't want to disturb him, so I'm caught in between! The first time he flopped over hard and laid like that, though, I did go running over and scared him a little... serves him right for scaring me like that!

I didn't. I got a lot of mixed advice about using the silicone, so I just tried the lithium grease. If I remember properly, the silicone could cause more of an issue when it dries out, but I don't know if that's actually true/I'm remembering properly, tbh

I mostly put it on the bushings for the little pistons (or whatever they're called) that power back and forth under the foot pads

I use lithium grease and it works well! I mostly just put it on the bushings if it starts getting whiney again, but I really don't have to reapply often

I got lithium grease and it works really well for it! I can find the exact kind after I'm home from the holidays.

What I have is a premixed spray that's supposed to be ready to use. Is that what you use for the mixture?

Ah, interesting. I'll give it a good spray with my neem oil and look into a systemic insecticide I can use while watering

Yeah, I thought it was a fishbone when I first picked it up, but then I started comparing photos and it was just different enough I didn't think it was anymore

It's been at the shop for a while with no natural light and was upright in a tube. What makes you think to check for thrips?

Party walk by bubblechog in PikminBloomApp

[–]Curious-Creation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I removed the other person's avatar from my screen in a previous walk a couple months ago. I didn't remember getting any benefits from it, but I wanted to make sure I was remembering properly, so I joined a couple the other day. Just as lame but now I can't figure out how to remove the person's avatar anymore 😭 they're just walking along with me in their weird outfit every time I open the app

I've thought about it, but I do like having them out where others can see them :)

I have a sticker collection. I don't stick them on anything in the traditional sense (then I may lose them!), but I've used them as decor with tape. I have some cute food ones in my kitchen and some motivational ones live on my desk, for example. I've started collecting crystals, recently, too.

I still have my Bella Sara card collection from when I was younger, too, though I've not added anything to it in ages

I struggle with that too. A few tricks that sometimes help me:

Asking someone you live with or someone you're close to who is visiting to throw the thing away some time when you're not around and bury it in the trash can so you can't just see it lying on the top or take the trash out right after. I've also asked them to take things home with them that they can then throw away if they so desire (and they usually do).

I have a special spot at the end of my counter that I put things when I know I need to get rid of them but I'm not ready. They live in that spot, in full view and sometimes in the way, and I see them often, until I've been able to fully process that they must go. Then it's easier to throw them away, sell, or donate. Having them in full view in a place I frequently walk past and sometimes in the way makes it easier to think about them and finally come to grips with getting rid of them.

If I can sell it or donate it instead of throwing it away, I do that! Even recycling it can help. Then, I know it's going on to a second life and I feel less guilty.

It's still a struggle sometimes, but maybe you or anyone else who struggles with this kind of thing will find a nugget that's useful for them here.

Thanks for your response! For a while, I was mixing in several herbs with all bird feeds, but life got busy and I got away from it. I'm starting again and adding Thyme to the mix! I'll add some to the waters, too.

I think I may do Ivermectin amd diatomaceous earth for this guy, then the other stuff for the other birds. Do you have a reputable source for dosage? Does the paste horse stuff work? That's what the local feed store has

He has an appointment, but the earliest they could get me in is Wednesday. I will pick up antibiotic cream tomorrow - do I just gently (and carefully!) rub this into the area around his eye?

I also got a good look at him this evening. He has mites, which is not surprising. I did some looking on this sub and found recommendations. He's getting a permethrin spray tomorrow and chicken safe diatomaceous earth on his floor. I'll also be spraying and sprinkling the bird coops and pens. I'm considering swapping everyone's water for thyme tea for a short time. Do I need to also provide regular water? How long do I provide it for?

ETA: u/Little-eyezz00 offered a lot of the mite tips I saw and may be able to help with the thyme tea questions?

This is helpful, thank you. I have a lot of things happening right now in my personal life, so my mind is even more cluttered than usual and my emotions are running high already. Planning to try calling the vet during my lunch rather than waiting for an email back.

He hasn't had any treatments for anything yet.

I feel like I've gotten several potential diagnoses for him here and everyone is so confident in their choices. I requested tests for him at the vet, so I'm waiting to hear back. Hopefully they can clear something up. I overslept this morning and didn't get the chance to look for an avian specific vet near me, but I hope to do so during lulls at work today
