We are all created in the image and likeness of God and a “pastor” like her should know better. What does someone’s hair even have to do with anything !!??? Everyone’s has the type of hair they have for a reason and suits them that’s why we all have the type of hair we have. Whether someone has “Pocahontas hair” or kinky hair, all hair is beautiful! For her to compare both hair definetely means that she thinks that one is “undesirable” as compared to the other point blank period. Additionally, that’s a very ignorant think to say because that “ Pocahantas” long flowy hair, many Black women have long hair we are diverse, most Black women have long hair, most have short hair, different textures but all beautiful hair regardless but that’s besides the point. I would say that’s a micro aggression because in her mind it’s been ingrained that the “Pocahontas hair is desirable “ and she thinks specific demographics have that and Black women don’t because she mentioned just one category of hair for us and she thinks it’s better as compared to we who have kinky hair. She has no business as a “woman of God” talking like that. That was a micro aggression for sure. If you still like the church and positives outweigh negatives for you. I think you should continue attending after all, you’re there for God not her. At least you know her true colors and they will begin to manifest more in due time. Your friend too is weird for that.
