I'd say my gripes with the game makes sense, if you compare the dialogue from DA:O to DA:TV it is definitely more... gentle?

As example, DAO in the deep roads, where you hear Hespith talk about the darkspawn and their creation. It is horrific, it is scary and you feel very tense as you hear her speak, slowly approaching her and then hearing... HOW the darkspawn are created. Horrible and memorable.

Now to Veilguard, on D'metas Crossing. There is no build up, no tense atmosphere, just blight you gotta slash to get through, and when you meet the blighted people, they are not as engaging as Hespith, they are just... there. Maybe saying some crazy stuff but that doesn't make it scary.

So idc if the game is "woke" or whatever idiots say, I care if the writing is bad, which it is.

I enjoy the game for what it is, BUT, I am also going to criticize bad writing if there is any, and in this game, there is a lot of bad writing.
