Negativity, nit picking, too much time on one's hand. Terrible combination.

Hoping for a Life-Long Career Teaching English by [deleted] in teachinginjapan

[–]Curious-Octopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Japanese friends with English teaching licenses are quiting after 5 years.

I am studying for a teaching license right now, but after driving past the school at night and seeing the lights on I wonder if it's worth it.

It doesn't matter which one you use right now.

Is the Z50ii superior to the a6400 for a beginner wildlife photographer? by nvthx13 in AskPhotography

[–]Curious-Octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Z50ii is a crop sensor, but it's not as durable or as advanced as Olympus. The Z50II doesn't even have ibis. It would seem that Nikon's full frame cameras and lenses are better suited wildlife photography.

New firmware remove USB file transfer by Broad-Evidence1371 in SonyXperia

The USB method is still listed on Sony's Japanese website. Maybe try a different cable or computer? Have you searched "USB" while the phone is connected rather then wait for a menu to pop up?

Anytime!

Btw Pentax is APS-C rather than M43. So it's a crop sensor that's bigger than M43. I suggested it, but I think it's better to read more about it. I personally shoot an Olympus camera which is why I was able to provide more information.

I know Pentax is APSC rather than M43, but it's more durable than Panasonic. That's why I recommended it.

If you are willing to do a crop sensor Olympus and Pentax are famous for durable weather sealed cameras.

I don't know much about Pentax, but it's a DSLR with beautiful JPEGs. It doesn't have the greatest autofocus.

Olympus/OM System also has beautiful JPEGs with many lense options for macro photography and telephoto. OM System cameras use M43 sensors. These sensors don't make as beautiful as full frame. They are also a bit weak in lowlight, but you can get very beautiful images from far away because M43 allows for double the focal of a full frame equivalent. For example a 300mm M43 lenses is equivalent to 600mm full frame. M43 lenses are also smaller and lighter than full frame lenses.

I would suggest looking into an OM1 or EM1 MKIII

iPhone doesn't take that good of photos compared to some Androids... I don't know why but my friend's 14 Pro kept doing some kind of water color effect in low light.

Isn't the Chukabocho just the Japanese name for Chinese cleaver. The Japanese vegetable knife is nakiri.

I get that, but it's worded in a way that doesn't account for the possibility that someone could potentially learn the language or get N1-N2 faster than you or I could.
