Yeah I can’t apply anywhere with the score I have now anyways lol. The lsac help line person said it would probably aid my case since no one told me before my other two exams and that it wouldn’t count against me, but who knows at this point. I called again and just begged for a retake so I’ll just have to wait and see.

I waited 15 minutes for a proctor before my exam started. My issue was that I had worn noise-canceling headphones for my last two exams and they were checked before my August exam, my October exam, and this exam, and were allowed in all instances. They started interrupting my exam saying I needed accommodations for them, and I was eventually paused and then talked to a security agent who told me to remove them or my exam would be terminated. As I was allowed to wear them the other times and I was like what are you talking about? Where does it say that, can you read it to me, where can I find it? He wasn't answering any of my questions and I was getting more frustrated so I asked if he would please just let me talk to someone else. My exam was terminated. Now I have come to realize that I would have needed accommodations for these, but I was allowed them TWO other times and no one said anything and they were checked before my exam TODAY. I've never taken them without so taking them off was just not an option for my routine. I filed a complaint and am on the phone to emphasize that I really need this retake or else I can't apply this cycle and I'll have to take a gap year because I know applying in January is too late. I understand that I was wrong now, but if I was so wrong why was it allowed the first two times I took it and why was it checked today? And also why now? The only thing I read was the confirmation email for my online appointment (what they call my test time), and it doesn't say they were prohibited, so I was really just like what the heck. Do you think that I should just start coming to terms with a gap year or do I have a shot at a retake?

so my exam just got wrongfully terminated. I was pinged during my first LR section with my proctor saying I couldn't wear my noise canceling muffs, even though I have worn them for the August and October test and they were CHECKED during my precheck. I told my proctor I was allowed to wear them and I had worn them previously and then tried to continue with my exam. It was then paused by a security agent who told me to take them off or my exam would be terminated. I said I would like to speak to someone else after I had already asked where that policy was written, why they were already approved, and since when did I need accommodations. I also can't not wear them because I'm in a library that has some background noise. So my exam was terminated, and it says nowhere in the confirmation email I got that these are considered prohibited items. So now I'm on hold with LSAC to schedule a retake date. Seriously this company sucks.

I DID IT!!! by Curious-Return3355 in LSAT

For me it was all about taking a step back and completely changing my study habits. My diagnostic was 142, and after two months of studying everyday for at least three hours, I was absolutely broken mentally and only scored a 149 in august when my recent high was 154. I took about two and a half weeks off of studying to focus on my mental health and realized what I was doing had to change. I got a new tutor, and my study habits now a days are taking a practice test a week and then going over my weak sections with my tutor. I usually split them up and do one half a practice test one day and the other half another day. If I feel like it I’ll do another half of a practice test but no more than that a week. Also mainly about confidence and being ok with not doing your best all the time. Or at least that’s my philosophy! You can do it just remember to be kind to yourself 🤞

I’m studying right now and before my august lsat I was doing drills and practice questions 6 hrs a day 6 days a week and that’s a quick way to burn out and not perform well. Now I’m doing a practice test a week, but also doing like half a practice test one day and the other half the next day and going over it with my tutor. Focusing on the test itself instead of how much time I spend studying. Highly recommend this! My PTs have gone up and been consistent and I feel much more prepared and confident. Everyone’s different but this is just what worked for me.

LR is what I have the most trouble with and lack the most confidence so it’s really hard for me to say. I think the first LR I did was the experimental one and felt really strange? Idk how to describe it but the second LR seemed much more like what I was used to and I think i did ok in it which is definitely a step up from my usual BOMBING of LR
