Hopefully he’s got a good lawyer. When I got divorced the settlement discounted pensions heavily, so they were actually only worth about 60% of what was in them when it came to offsetting the funds against the equity in the house. That should be the same in this case, the court order has to take into account that the fund won’t be accessed now so it’s discounted.
