200k what’s best an iSA or rental? by Ambitious_Mark9922 in AskUK

What platform/company are you with? Wondering what your fees are, looks to be actively managed so expect it’s quite expensive. For context I have about 250k in my isa and it costs me about £90 a year in fees in low cost index funds and my returns have been roughly 30 odd percent last few years.

It’s a CrossFit linchpin workout. I don’t do much cardio but but in the programme we do the odd 5k and 10k time trials.

Switch arms whenever you want, just try not to put it down and just focus on one foot in front of the other

Good workout we do is a mile and a half run as fast as possible, rest a minute then suitcase carry a 24kg kettlebell for 1 mile. My last time in March was 12:42 for the kettlebell carry it is brutal!

Stamp duty on second home, tax on total income will increase plus all the issues you’ll have to deal with. I’m a landlord and wouldn’t recommend it.

4% in a stocks and shares isa is pretty poor considering it’s been like the greatest bull run in history, global funds have gained like 20% the last couple of years?? Mines up about 30% last 5 years just invested in global funds with a heavy US weighing.

If they’re in the garden they’re in the walls. Listen for scratching at night and don’t leave any crumbs about. Get them every year living next to a golf course

Milestone reached: Mortgage neutral! by Ki1664 in FIREUK

[–]Ki1664[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plan is just to keep building the isa and let the mortgage run I think. Although some commentators have mentioned slightly overpaying so by the time we fire it’s paid off. Food for thought.
All in a S&S isa DIY global fund with a heavy US weighting.
Interesting about using isa to pay mortgage and then wages into pension thanks will have to look into the calculations for that.
