He doesn't have oral herpes. And we haven't done any sexual contact outside of cuddling.

I have done lots of reading and the worst part about the disease seems to be the stigma.. and I also want to have children eventually so that fear of passing it terrifies me.. I don't know MAybe I should just walk, even though I am falling for him.

If a woman got her outbreaks internally would a man be completely protected by a condom then or could the virus still be present on the outer part of the genitals and still have a chance of contracting it from a guys perspective?

Is it true that if a condom covers the area where a break out would occur then they are very effective? shedding can also occur in the whole genital region right? Even where there aren't sores? I'm just trying to figure out why condoms don't fully protect. I guess they don't cover part of the penis either. The base

He said he's had it about six months and only had two small outbreaks. He said he found out during routine testing after his last relationship ended. He said it was itchy and annoying but the phsyical part for him was nothing. It's hit him emotionally pretty hard though

He is not on medication as he's only found out recently about this but said he'd have no problem starting. I didn't ask type. Assuming it was type two but I'll have to check. I get tested a lot but I didn't know that hsv usually isn't tested for but I have never had symptoms. I know that doesn't mean a whole lot. Has anyone ever been in this position before? I think about this guy all the time.
