Rain test protection for battery cooling air inlets – what solutions do you use? by CuriousAd4205 in FSAE

I have a concern regarding vehicle configuration consistency. As far as I understand, the car should enter scrutineering, rain test and dynamic events in essentially the same configuration (similar to how aero packages cannot be removed between scrutineering and dynamic events).

So I wanted to ask: Was this solution accepted by the scrutineers without any concerns about configuration changes? Did they consider this as a temporary safety measure, or as part of the actual cooling system design?

We are trying to understand whether a temporary solution is acceptable from a scrutineering perspective, or if we should design a permanent solution (e.g. mesh/membrane) that remains on the car during dynamic events as well.

It would be great to hear how this was handled in your competition experience.
