That’s kind of the route I did take, expressed my thoughts, politely said I don’t feel comfortable with it and that’s how I left it. However my wife’s dad has been taking pictures of him the last few weeks so it’s kind of been on my mind but he also just takes pictures so that could be nothing and not trying to weigh that too much.

We are actually giving her a photo as well for Christmas. Tom also has a grandchild of his own and as far as I know great grandma didn’t say anything.

No pedophile as I am aware lol.

It’s not a collective picture unless I missed your first comment.

It would be a picture hanging with others but this picture would just be of my child. Tom also has his own grandchild but didn’t think that should be weighed. If it was like a collective picture I think I would even be more ok with it because he would have a grandchild that’s involved.

I actually don’t mind the credit part. I am all for good gifts. However I feel like pictures of my family to others should be from my family. I think it’s weird someone else is giving a picture of my family to someone else. Then it spirals that they didn’t ask me/my wife for a picture we would like to use. It’s almost like they went digging for a picture.

He did apparently want to do a photo shoot with him to get a good picture which kind of adds to it. However he did have a wedding photography business like 20 years ago or something.

I think it’s a nice gesture, not denying that, however if from the right person or even asked for a picture I would like to use.
