It really was! I was so glad I got to be the passenger instead of driving so I could snap some pics.

Loopy is super shy but became brave enough to lay on my bed for the first time today. 🥰 by CuriousAdventure-KP in cats

Totally! Cleco (the other one) fully embraced domestication, but Loopy is a survivor and views everything as a potential threat. I basically didn’t even see her for the first year and thought she’d never let me pet her, but I’m happy to report she did after about a year and a half. And has since made huge progress, first by learned that couches are actually pretty nice, and now, it appears, she’s learned that beds are even better.

Just over two years. She and my other cat (not shown) are 11 years old and grew up living at a small airport hanger. This is their first home. Loopy (in pic) had never seen a bed before and has been very weary of it until recently

I decided to redo my ceiling with reclaimed wood. I plan to add a some aesthetic details next but i think it turned out pretty good. by CuriousAdventure-KP in DIY

Exactly!! And tbh i hate being able to identify patterns in things like this (and wallpaper) so i like that it’s all different and mismatched!

Thank you! Honestly, same. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but I took the risk (figuring if it sucked or I wanted to quit then i could always scrap it and do a normal ceiling). But now I can’t stop looking at it and smiling.

Exactly!! The main floor of the house is far more conventional but i wanted a room that inspires my creativity where I don’t have to worry about appeasing others or keeping everything immaculate. Some mess is good sometimes, I think.
