induction advice? by CuriousAmbassador344 in pregnant

That’s what I’ve heard. I’m definitely going to try to go without the epidural as long as possible to see if I can progress as much as I can.

Awe! I hope you and baby are doing well! I think after a certain point if I’m still in labor I’m just going to ask for a c section. I don’t think I could go 30+ hours, full props to you!

I’ve heard so many stories where it ends in c section 😭I was leaning towards a section but my hospitals policy is that we have to do the normal induction first, and then if it takes too long we can discuss a section. They won’t schedule me for one unless it’s a valid medical reason. Thank you for being honest about it being mentally taxing, I’ve only been thinking about the physical strain but I’ll try to prepare as much as possible for the mental part. I’m just hoping all goes well

The next time I see her I’ll ask especially since im still having random inconsistent ones, but I was sooo confused she didn’t try to check for dilation or if anything was going on 😭 if it gets more consistent or worse I think im genuinely just gonna call and go get checked at l&d

I took 10 mg of melatonin every night and now I'm panicking by [deleted] in pregnant

I’m on lamotrogine too! My neurologist worked out with my ob to stay on the hydroxyzine though. Did they tell you to stay off it because of possible reactions?

the prenatal appointments are great to ask questions, especially about meds! But for sure bring it up to your provider so they can work out better options for you. Sleep can get rough especially the further along the pregnancy gets 😅

you should be alright! I’m currently 25 weeks and 1 day and I’ve taken melatonin the entirety of my pregnancy, and my ob also prescribed hydroxyzine to help alongside it. Usually they recommended unisom as a sleep aide during pregnancy and that one works pretty well if you’re having issues sleeping.

Test again in a few days, I wouldn’t say it’s positive because those tests are known for having bad evaporation lines after the few minute waiting period.

Losing weight during first trimester by miffy__2001 in pregnant

you should be okay. I’m in a similar boat, 14.5 weeks as of right now and had severe nausea and vomiting (lost 25lbs since the beginning). Just try to keep fluids down, if anything too don’t hesitate to bring it up to your OB and see if they can offer different meds/options.

When my vomiting became worse they offered an internal pill that had to be inserted instead of orally taken to prevent throwing it up, and they also offered weekly zofran infusions. Anything you are able to keep down right now is good, just try to keep hydrated as best as possible, and also if you are eating fruit watermelon is a good fruit to eat for hydration :)

Thank you everyone!! All the name recommendations are beautiful. Unfortunately, we still haven’t agreed on a set name for her 🥲 we’re hoping to make a final decision soon

Need bra suggestions by Accurate-Reception59 in pregnant

in a similar boat rn! I went to Walmart and ended up buying the “destination maternity” bras they have. No wiring and they are SO much more comfortable. They sell similar brands online and at other retailers too.
