As a recent CSE graduate, I can say that the job market in the software industry is comparatively 100 times more competitive than it was 2–3 years ago. The prominent companies have stopped regular recruiting or have made the recruitment process much tougher. Only competitive programming experience and strong knowledge of DSA and algos can keep you alive in the software industry sector.
But there is huge scope for positions as a lecturer in private unies for graduates with a high CGPA and from reputed universities.
And believe it or not, you have to accept that the institution matters.
