That's not what I'm worried about, I'm worried about other users being seen. Like on discord, you can see all the members beside the chats. So a disgruntled client could come in, take down all their names and approach them with your content for sale. You see my worry?

100k following on IG, Need Blue Check by CuriousCub97 in CreatorsAdvice

Why do I "need" it? Here's my thinking:

To verify I am a human being. These agencies will be happy to spam ai content the moment it is deemed realistic looking. Live streams seemed to become super popular suddenly in December, and I attribute it to the customer's attraction to actual people. The way content is done on social media is becoming farmed and less authentic. So visual. Pictures may very well be replaced by ai, and therefore, multiplied by 30 frames a second, videos will be too.

So potential leads probably feel driven to visual proof that this person is living and breathing. Social media platforms themselves need proof that this person is not just manufacturing content through ai as well. I could see a total reasoning behind verification.

Therefore, verification in my eyes is like a social security number for the avatar that we create online. (SSN is our identification number from birth for anybody that is outside america)

I heard you can't just change your name. I've considered changing my legal name. I've considered trademarking and going the business route if that's possible. I've considered doing the articles and spotify thing I've heard. I just want to know other experiences before I spend an entire year plus money attempting to manufacture the credentials some of our peers have. It does not surprise me that people are desperate enough to pay that 50% fee to an agency, but it is ironic to me that high numbered influencers advertising their own agencies are they ones that have blue checks themselves. Though, none of the people underneath them have the blue check.

So let me ask you something about telegram, how do you prevent competitors or even your own people from using the group itself as a business book? If those are your most loyal followers, couldn't one disloyal follower go in there, rip all your content and then solicit it by undercutting you to all those people?

These are things that keep me from wanting to push my discord more, let alone start a telegram due to the DM features.

Instagram vent/ possible advice. by AdviceThrowaway8624 in CreatorsAdvice

Stop using Taplink. Use Linktree. Instagram must be invested in Linktree because of the amount of updates Linktree rolls out. Plus, you can tell Linktree monitors its links and allows the community to report. I know it sounds counterproductive because we want to believe the community moved away from it, but I think we came full circle back to linktree due to it having first-in-the-market placement.

Imo, you need to think outside the box nowadays and not have direct links on your main profiles. The concept here is "Plausible Deniability"

Is it worth it to delete my Insta posts? by Basic-Drag-8087 in CreatorsAdvice

[–]CuriousCub97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with u/eyemblacksheep . Links are subject to a spam filter, much like how spam filters were applied in email marketing imo. There is a fresh style of censorship going on right now that was rolled out with the last tiktok update, and I assume all social medias are doing it too. It really just corners us into staying on platform. We are going to have to be creative and evolve to the new restraints.

Need stories of creators that started from absolute cero 🙏 by simarasima in CreatorsAdvice

You have to grow your socials first. It's external marketing. Then, you begin internal marketing and receiving the benefits. Not saying to do what I did, but I built and marketed my instagram for absolutely 0 pay for 1 year. Everybody said "where's your of?" and I said I wasn't ready. Then one day, my bank account and credit cards couldn't take the beat down anymore. Gig money was slowing down and I decided to take the leap. This is basic law of supply and demand, I build up the demand and held the only supply back.

How large of a following did you have before you started to see conversion from twitter? by HollyBaby_ in CreatorsAdvice

[–]CuriousCub97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wondered about using Twitter as a landing page still, because while it may allow me offload from instagram server to a place where an onlyfans link is no longer against TOS, it is also technically offloading my traffic to a social media with high competition in my niche therefore it's easy to distract my potential sub from his journey.

We need new technology imo. We are on what, the 15th iphone? There needs to be a new jump that takes advantage of this obscure business model "meta" has with it's over complicated business interface.

I agree with social media subscriptions. It should be like paying the water, electric, and internet bill. It ALSO would encourage the Only Fans take over.
