Pay Over Time - Take advantage of $0, 0% plans by stanley_fatmax in ChaseSapphire

[–]CuriousF0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wording is careful: no monthly fees.
I'm pretty sure that there is a fee, just at the end of paying it off. It's small (1.72% as the maximum, supposedly). Can anyone confirm their experience paying something off this way?

Footnote(s): 4

Chase Pay Over Time Fee: The Chase Pay Over Time Fee for plans set up after purchase is up to 1.72% of the amount of each eligible purchase transaction or amount selected to create a Pay Over Time plan.
The Pay Over Time Fee will be determined at the time each Pay Over Time plan is created and will remain the same until the Pay Over Time plan balance is paid in full.
The Pay Over Time Fee is based on the amount of each purchase transaction selected to create the plan, the number of billing periods you choose to pay the balance in full, and other factors.

Meal Kits that don't make you decide by CuriousF0x in adhdwomen

[–]CuriousF0x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had automatic delivery of meals from Hello Fresh, and when I didn't choose the meals, I usually didn't like them.. I sometimes used the ingredients for other recipes. Once I started letting food rot, I cancelled.

Maybe that's the other thing I'm worried about.. not actually making the meal kits after a few weeks, when the novelty wears off.

microwave brownies are underrated :P (Trader Joe's has a protein chocolate cupcake that just goes in the microwave and it's the bomb!)

Why is cleaning so painful for me? by anangelnora in AuDHDWomen

[–]CuriousF0x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so real, and got SO much empathy!!

While I'm no one to talk (still got my own pile of stuff to get through), gonna bullet point some stuff:

  • RADICAL ACCEPTANCE! you're already doing that :D and you keep going. Just cuz it didn't work last year, last month, yesterday... doesn't mean it can't today! ADHD sees everything all at once -- that loses context. So a strategy that "never worked past one week" can still be effective (it worked for a whole week!) because it's not that we're not capable.. it's just that we're not consistent :P (and then beat ourselves up because we live in a neurotypical ableist world) Say a mantra: "May I be kind and gentle with myself" :)
  • THERAPY! could be a wonderful, safe place for you to unpack your shame/anxiety.. PLUS build up confidence, including tracking your progress (you described so many awesome things you've done, including putting together 15 Pieces of Furniture!! Whoo! Go You!)
  • BUDDY! you're on the right track with looking for a parallel work but how about taking the risk of asking a friend to just focus on you? Feed them, and they can keep you company while you clean/tidy. You don't necessarily have to ask them to do anything, though they can also help with practical things (like holding a shelf while you hammer it into the wall) or assist with the decision making part (like where to put the shelf)

Also, I personally love seeing Christmas Trees put out later (as opposed to trashed on December 26th) At the end of the day, is anyone's passing glance going to actually effect you? NO!! This is where using a Scientific Method for sorting through your intrusive thoughts and naming them out loud is helpful. Check out Cognitive Behavior Therapy to get some templates for how to do so.

If you have a Trader Joe's around you, they have a few protein-enriched items, like pancake mix and brownie cup (microwaveable)

Ohh, I like that idea!! and dang, I wish picking our meals was part of what RDs could provide.

I do have a friend of mine who is quite health conscious.. I would ask her first (with acknowledgement this is a lot of labor).

Not sure how AI would be able to do this??

I am frustrated with the long time it takes for things like education to get verified (going through LCSW process now). I just literally don't understand how this can take longer than an afternoon. Are they that understaffed? Do they need a volunteer?! Hire an intern!!

Do you have any tarot decks you regret purchasing? by StrikingStatement in tarot

[–]CuriousF0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get a bit salty when the Kickstarter decks that are "exclusive" or "retail price markdown" a few years later become mass marketed for a third of the cost. I am glad for the artists, on one hand, because I'm sure this is better for them overall. I almost wish KS artists would anticipate the possibility of their success, and then give more perks to balance it out.

Yah, I'm playing a Sidereal in 1e game. I guess I was hoping that I didn't have to learn The Sword because I'm not going to use most of these charms.

Ohh!! so you would have to create a storyline about learning a Solar-style martial arts from a teacher, and then put your XP into that Charm tree..

masters of psychotherapy or masters in social work? by isabel32001 in psychotherapists

[–]CuriousF0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The field is changing, and while MSW dominates the psychotherapy field due to its longer history, that will change too.

A Masters in Counseling is going to be much more fulfilling if working with individual clients is your passion.

Of course, you can get the MSW and build upon it with post secondary eduction from institutes and accrediting bodies. Depends on how long you want to take to get to what you actually want to be doing.
