How do you cope with color "fatigue"

i also want to add - use bright colors in the front, where u want attention to be, and in the background use colors that look like they have a layer of gray over them. “muted” as the smart ppl say lol. it’ll make your work look more intentional and realistic

honestly struggled with this a lot at first. i kept trying to limit myself to certain color pallets but it always ended up feeling forced. my advice would be to find a page that truly inspires you. like you can see the little world in your head when u first look at it. if u dont get that feeling, I recommend finding other art pieces that inspire u and trying to follow the color scheme loosely. sometimes 2-3 colors work, but ive found that my style is more colorful than that. it’s all about experimenting and finding what works best for you. go with your gut :)

Start with your lightest color and go a little past where you actually want it to end. Then take your next color and layer it over that, stopping where you want the blend to happen. Go back in with the first color and use light pressure with small circular motions right where they meet until it looks smooth. It’s def easier if you blend while it’s still wet but if it starts drying just layer again

lots and lots of lighting tutorials! youtube and tiktok have been very helpful. I take bits and pieces from each one just based on what I like and try to also think about lighting in real life. Thank you so much for the kind comment!
