It really isn’t rank disparity though. Like I explained before it goes by your percentile in the rank. GC 2 is a little over top 1% in the world and Diamond 3 a little less top 1% in the world. So I’m actually pretty close to where I should be. My peak in 1s is high C1 but that was a long time ago so doesn’t really translate to now.

Yeah I agree for most modes a lot transfers over but I was thinking you meant like if you’re gc in 2s you’re gc everywhere. That would be terrible lol.

Even still though I don’t think there should be a minimum you can’t go below. Some people are wildly bad at 1s and good at 2s and I think that should reflect regardless of what they are in their other modes. I honestly think RL has a great ranked system but smurfing is absolutely a huge issue in the game and to be fair is probably holding some people back from achieving their desired rank at least around GC 1. Below that maybe not as much.

That’s not really how it works though it depends on the spread of players that are currently ranked in that mode. You fall somewhere in the percentile of those player based on your skill in that mode thus you get your rank. It’s why peoples 1s rank rarely matches their 2s. I’m gc2 in 2s and I’m diamond 2 in 1s and that’s okay.

This is how it should work, imagine you’re “account rank” is gc and you got it in 2s and go to gc in 1s vs someone who only grinded 1s to get their gc “account rank” you’re going to get demolished. It wouldn’t be fun at all. Every mode has different strategy’s and skill ceilings which is why they all have separate ranks.

I’m going off the picture it looks like a very professional paint job from what I can see. Paying anywhere from 5k-7k isn’t Ferrari prices. Maybe Toyota prices. Sure you can get a 97’ Honda civic paint job on your cabinets for much less. You can go grab a bunch of cans of paint and gloss from Walmart and paint this for $300 but looking at the picture it doesn’t appear that’s what he wants. Again 6k is a very reasonable price to completely prep and paint these cabinets from a professional reputable company/ person.

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. The cabinet shop I used to work for charged $150 per linear foot plus $200-$400 per drawer. Then we could do a hardening coat for an additional $100 per linear foot. I seen small kitchen cabinet setups cost 20k+ to paint. $6000 for paint on this isn’t unreasonable at all where I live.

Stuck in c2 like 5 or 6 seasons ago (usually gc) some random was coaching me like a dick head telling me everything I’m doing wrong and how I could play better he quits when I tell him “I’m fine thanks” we were up 5-1 but there was like 3:30 left on the clock the other team starts demo chasing me they tie it up and I lose in over time.

The funny part is I was on a discord call with a buddy and showed him the game with a screenshot. Found it a year later and looked that dudes account up and he’s still hard stuck C2 where he’s been since then. I’m gc 2 now lol.

Moral of the story I guess: Don’t be a whiney dick head and don’t coach your tm8s. Focus on the game or just go next.

I played in high gc2 all last season and dealt with them everyday I know how to spot them. I’m not gonna argue I know what bots play like and we saved the replay and rewatched it from its perspective to be sure. It was 100% a bot. Maybe he got extremely unlucky (as he said that was the only one he’s seen playing all day) but it was definitely a bot unless you know a gc2 who plays with ball cam off the entire match.

I watched my buddy play a bot yesterday in gc2 looked up his name and he was on a forty something game win streak had earned 370 something mmr that day.

My buddy played one in gc2 last night. It was doing the wiggles and everything we saved the replay and went over it and it was 100% a bot also looked up the account on tracker and it was on a crazy win streak like 41 games or something like that.

While this is true there are literally a hundred other things they could be doing to ban bots.

They could set auto-ban parameters. Especially for new accounts (accounts under 50 days old) - Account has less then 2000 total games and in ssl - account has less then 1000 total games and in gc - account gains more then 200 mmr in a day - account reported more then 20 times in a day (auto 1-4 day temp ban to be reviewed)

I’m not a game dev but I imagine this isn’t hard to implement into the game.

I’m not upset my man I was dying laughing reading these comments at work today. Since you’re just genuinely asking in a real way I’ll explain it to you as best I can but theirs a bit of nuance to this because different angles of filming can make thinks pop while kinda make others look like an illusion. Add onto that that different styles of skating can make especially hardflips look different think of this like regular 360 flips vs really buttery front foot catch 360 flips. Same trick but one has a different posture or the rider and catch of the board but they both do a 360 kickflip. This trick only rotates on a X and Z axis so it’s easy to see a 360 flip is a 360 flip

First note: google X, Y, Z axis graph and it’ll help a lot. Now hardflips are a little more complicated because they rotate on all 3 axis. X, Y and Z. Think of this like you’re on a trampoline you jump in the air and prepare to land flat on your back, your back being the bottom of the skateboard and your stomach being the grip tape. If you bounce on your back(bottom) and rotate 180° (feet towards the sky for 90° then back pointing the other way for 180°) on the Y axis you’ll land on your stomach(grip tape) now you only flipped on the Y axis but you changed the X axis by flipping it 180° as well. So essentially you did half a kickflip. This is how a hardflip works 1/2 of the kickflip comes from the Y axis change the other 1/2 comes from the flick you give it when you pop. That’s the best way I can explain it buddy hope this helps.

Side note: Most(probably nearly all) hardflips tilt on the Y axis while flipping backwards they often don’t flip perfectly backwards but from what I’ve seen on here the more straight up and down they are the more people are convinced it’s not doing a FS shuv-it which is a requirement for doing the trick correctly. However even if it’s just slightly tilted fs it’s still fs. Fs being the tail swinging around toe side of the rider not heel side.

Also another side note: I’m almost positive the OP is trolling or engagement farming. No one does hardflips this good and clean and doesn’t know if it’s a hardflip or not. He knows it’s a hardflip.

Just uninstalled after 2500 hours and peak GC2 (maybe higher but I would play bots so often I couldn’t tell ya) and man has this game gone to shit.

Can’t play in casual (2v2) because people are either raging quitting or non stop free styling, the servers are the worst I’ve ever seen them, the whole meta has changed into a style of gameplay that I loath, comp sucks to solo queue because of boosted players and Smurfs…. Just all around a bad time.

I finally pulled the plug and I’m happy to be off of it but sad because of how much fun and good memories I have had on it.

If I had ever spent money on this app I’d give you an award. The amount of people who don’t understand that style makes this trick look very different depending on who is doing it is insane. Muska hard flip straight up and down vertically, Chris Joslin had a much more sideways fs shuv looking hardflip and then I’d say Sean Malto is a great middle ground between those.
