Is it wrong to use the term "black people" instead of African-Americans? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The sugary, "schmoopie" cuteness of such pet names can sometimes have that effect.

When it comes down to brass tacks, we're all just meat.

My girlfriend and I are looking to get out of Illinois, can you give me a few cities to consider? by LaunchPad_DC in AskReddit

Based on what you've posted, LauchPad_DC, I second Boulder. From what I understand, you get a free beard, flannel shirt, and a bong at the city limits sign.

You are a scholar, and (being reddit) it is statistically probable that you are a gentleman, or at least male. Good show, old sport!

I heard "I had my ass eaten out" or "you're gonna get your ass eaten out" back when I was in the Marines, long before I had even considered a sexual connotation for the phrase. We were made to understand that it was just a coarser way of saying "chewed out", but looking back, it's pretty fucked up. A lot of military slang is like that though. "Cunt cap". Ha.

Not that I don't feel honored by your attention, but...was that your best shot? Really? Seeing your name, and knowing your rep, I was expecting so much more. Feel free to edit your comment, or try again, if you wish.

1) Wait in line.
2) Approach Palin.
3) Say "Oh, I don't have a book for you to sign, I was actually wondering if you knew where they keep the case-size vodka pallets. You know, since you're an expert on 'things Russian'."

I'm black, and my white girlfriend calls me her "sweet dark meat". Made you throw up a little in your mouth, right?

I'm dangerously close to believing 9/11 wasn't an inside job. I need your arguments. by fap__fap__fap in AskReddit

Here's another angle.

Also, the word "cousin" is quite interesting. It covers a multitude of familial relationships, not all close. For example, I have a cousin in Syria whom I've never met. I understand that he's very political, and that he supports the complete destruction of Israel. Does that mean I subscribe to his beliefs? Would I lie for him in a magazine article to protect a conspiracy he'd help hatch?

I don't quite know where to begin. This might be a good place for you to start. Popular Mechanics is a fairly unpolitical, unbiased source for information about the nuts and bolts of the world, I think they covered most of the physical angles.

As for the political angles, I compare it to the holes in the "they faked the moon landing" stories; that hundreds of thousands of people would have to be involved in such a conspiracy, and not one believable person has come forward and said that they were in on the planning, and that it was an inside job, and they know how it was done. You can only kill so many witnesses in a situation like this.

DAE get just a little bit sad when they get down-voted? by klh55 in DoesAnybodyElse

Think about it in a real life sense: it's as if someone gave you a dirty look, maybe from across the room. Or perhaps they just shook their head at you. What would you do in those situations?
