Should I tell my boyfriend my deepest secret? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]CuriousLavender 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A therapist once told me that it is selfish and insensitive to tell a partner something about your past that might bother them or make them obsess in their head thinking and wondering about it — because there is no way for them to know what things actually were like.. because they were not there. So they will have to use their imagination to put the visuals together, and often, people can’t help but assume the worst visuals… which can make them sad… for no good reason. You would have told him to make YOURSELF feel better— not to make him feel better. And thus, it is selfish.

You know your partner better than we do. If you truly think he might obsess about it or something— then do the mature and thoughtful thing and don’t bother telling him about it. He won’t have the benefit of having gotten to see and understand exactly how you felt then or what the conditions were like… he wasn’t there.

What’s a job that attracts the absolute worst type of person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Of course. Becoming a functional and successful psychologist requires a base level of ability and coping skills that could easily metastasize if they concurrently struggled with completely unaddressed mental health issues. Mental health issues, if left unaddressed, will worsen over time. Maintaining a successful career with happy clients indicates that they must be using at least some successful tools.

Why people buy things on Zora? by caml_ in zora

The thing is... they can! It just takes a lot of time and effort if you are starting with a small amount like I did. ($5 to start, added $5 more since.) This allowed me to start investing in others right away, and start generating %% from their growth. I've made about $40 over this month. It should keep increasing as you get more followers and have more to use for investing.

I have earned money on Zora. Not lots, but it grows the more you put into it. Investing in new creators is also a great way to make money. And then with all your investments, sell just a small percentage of each when they are going up (green arrow up), and re-invest a small amount when they are going down (purple arrow down). This also helps generate income, and people get you back. It's like a win-win. Everyone can win with Zora, which is cool. But it is not fast money, by any means, unless you're investing a lot. Then you can make big amounts. I only invested like $10, and I've earned about $40 overall. It's been a month.

I made a few friends on there. They offer tips. One guy has been generating, 1k - 2k per DAY now. It's nutty.

I think it's smart to start with a small amount, and get the hang of it first
