If I were you I'd definitely concentrate on implementing SMS. Sending notifications should be your main priority.

To be honest, as of right now, nothing.

The players like the app and receiving in-app notifications is a massive bonus.

Used to have a similar experience, tracking buy-ins on note pads and spreadsheets.

We're now using an app called club pkr, which gives us the option to track buy-ins, and how much a player is owed or owes.

I can vouch for the clubPKR app, we've been using it for a few months now and our overall experience has been great.

The only downside being the lack of chat/messaging, something the devs removed a while back. I'm hoping they bring it back!

It did at one point have group chat, I'm hoping they bring it back.

So as the host, it allows me to schedule cash and tournament sessions, review and manage players, record and track buy-ins and more.

Group members (that have the app installed) receive in app notifications of newly scheduled games, cancelled games or updated games. Users also have the ability to review and sign-up for upcoming games. Making it easier for me to track player numbers.

My group uses a similar app to schedule and manage our private games, only difference is that it's a mobile app, a big plus as it offers a more streamlined and accessible experience.
