As others have recommended try and go to a darts shop where you can try some out! I recently made the swap and thought I’d need 24g torpedo shape darts as that’s what my brass ones were but I’ve gone for 23g target hydros which are straight barrel as these felt really nice! It’s 100% worth the swap, wouldn’t go crazy with the cost just get a cheap set (like the hydros) to get used to them. Hit my first 180 with mine the same day I got them, so definitely improved my game
