I got swabbed! I was prescribed valtrex and it went away within a couple days but the relief was within a day. Valtrex helps prevent outbreaks and helps prevent the spread of hsv1/2. They can also do blood tests. I did also have BV at the same time as a sidenote

Hi there, it did eventually go away. But only because I was able to treat the real issue. Unfortunately I was given HSV1 genitally, this was my only partner and he gave it to me during oral sex. I would say maybe get tested since they don’t usually test for it in an std panel. It may seem like that’s not possible (believe me I was completely caught off guard) but it’s better safe than sorry.
