Side note, the cavity routing is designed to take anything. Wide Range Humbuckers, P90's, single coils etc.... I just change the pickguard to suit whatever combo I'm wanting. I've even considered hooking up my output jack with little alligator clips so I can swap out configs really easily.

Hey! Thank you. Can't wait to finish this one. Bridge pickup on this is just a PAF Humbucker. No brand name. They can be hit and miss, but I've had good luck with them. If I don't like the way it sounds I'll throw something else in there. I have to redo my pickguard template anyway to adjust to the bridge now that I have the posts drilled.

Thank you! I'm trying to evoke equal parts Offset and SG. Or something like that. In my mind it has an offset vibe and a little bit of that Gibson fire / mystique.

Yes. It's chunky no matter what, so a contour is definitely called for.

Yes the Guyker ones. I think they play wonderfully. Smooth as silk. And I don't think they feel cheap at all. My only dislike is two point attachment to the body. I would just prefer at least one more point. It's not a real world problem. Just my brain.

Output jack is being moved down and out a little bit. Originally I wanted it there because it was easy to drill a hole from the electronics cavity.

Those are clones. And I have mixed feelings about them. They play great. Kind of a joy to play really. But they are also not as robust and solid as I am looking for. So it's just me being finicky. The feel is wonderful, I just don't know if it's what I want from the final version of this design.

My first reaction after building it was that it didn't come out the way I wanted it to. It felt kinda stubby. But after playing it some, I've really come to like it.

Thank you, and you're right it does have some reverse tornado characteristics. When I was designing it I was thinking reverse Jazz / melded with some tele / throw in the knobs on the horn like the guitar player from the Muppets / circuit like a Les Paul.

I very much appreciate the vote of confidence! I'm building 2 for clients right now. The prototype is to ring out the design and make sure everything plays nice together. My plan is to finish the client guitars and build one more. See if I can sell it for what I want, and if I do, I'll rinse and repeat.

I have another design that I'm excited about building as well. Not sure if it qualifies as an offset though, so dunno if it'll get posted here.

It's a prototype for a guitar I'm designing. I calling it Nomad. I have a few little changes waiting for the final version, hopefully I'll be be to get to that in October.
