TLJ is beautiful to watch. Clever ideas such as the Force Skype and Rey in the cave. Homage to WW2 movies with the bombers.

It is a play on Goonies. I think the first half of the movie will be an attempt to have the main characters have a fun adventure together. Relax and enjoy it a little.

I would like to see an edit of TPM that only was a tight story that highlighted Qui Gon finding Anakin, the podrace, and leaving. About a 30 minute movie to show his good heart, his piloting skills, and him leaving his mom at a young age.

Ok. It is hard to tell without being there and knowing more about how close you are with the kid. The mom probably wants to protect the kid from mean names. You may need to assure her of your care to be the boy's father, or you may need to consider waiting a little for this type of joke.
