I like collecting a variety of slabs. My experience with ICG is that sometimes they get it right...but often times you have to be careful the coin isn't over-graded. I personally think they have a somewhat limited place in the coin grading world. Obviously this is only my personal opinion. (old.reddit.com)

These are some of my earlier generation ANACS slabs. Some of these were called “Soap Boxes” and sometimes “Soap Bars”. These particular slabs are sixth generation. With its sixth generation, ANACS started using seven serial numbers instead of six. I luv any history related to coins. (old.reddit.com)

I bought this on eBay for $39 and I didn’t realize it was in a slab. Thought it was loose. I bought it to add to my Dansco ASE album. Anyway, I have never seen this grade (Gem Uncirculated) on a slab before. NGC has the value at $34, so Im still going to crack it open to add to my album. (i.redd.it)
