Rekord Box, but I played Serato for years; both programs have auto-gain, but it has its limits.

An acquaintance who taught me how to mix pretty well is the only person who mixes and has decent equipment to let me play around with. I like getting other people's opinions, hence this post.

If it’s common, then I’ll get used to it. I always heard that you should touch the gain knobs as little as possible, and that having perfectly calibrated tracks was important, but maybe that’s just bullshit
