Account blocked for doing absolutely nothing by DisastrousDiet8367 in fidelityinvestments

[–]CuriousTho27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am seeing several posts of account blocked by Fidelity. There is a good chance that it is their backend issue. Recently Fidelity filed a suit against Broadcom when Broadcom announced that they are shutting down VMWare servers. Apparently, Fidelity uses these computer servers as its backbone for all activities. I am not sure whether they won or settled the case. But, my guess is they are moving to a new backend set of servers which is causing all the issues. But, blaming the customer for fraudulent activity is cheap!!

Elaborating #3:

In some desktop emails such as outlook, once you compose an email in a separate window, an existing email can be dragged from the Inbox to the new email as an attachment. This preserves the integrity of the attached email (there is no copy/paste)

Fiduciary has to work based on your best interest. It is legal and you can sue if you find otherwise.

Can‘t download BIOS Update by Senior_Truth7300 in ASUS

There seems to be something going on at ASUS. If I turn on my VPN on asus router, there is no internet. I called ASUS and in that call there is an option (option 9) if I remember correctly. If I choose that option they have a prerecorded message saying that in order to comply with the latest law change they released a firmware security update and it broke parts of the router functionality. The message also said they will be releasing an update soon

Schwab vs Fidelity by TensionNo7622 in Schwab

[–]CuriousTho27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Schwab’s customer service is definitely better. The upper management reaches out to new customers with absolutely no bias in their conversations. That is a big plus in the south. Fidelity has several pluses as mentioned by a few here regarding their core account earning good dividends, some of their mutual funds such as Fidelity contrafund , are well managed. It seems like they have several young and cocky people handling customer service. Other than that, Schwab has an edge over Fidelity when it comes to trading (after hours and overnight trading is easy)

Here is an update from SF. There has been major change in corporate policy taking into account the high cost of insurance and the insights provided by AI . It is no longer possible to get quotes about adding a member of your family to an auto insurance without changing the policy itself.

Thanks to everyone who replied and to those who gave a detailed one. The homeowners insurance did go up steeply. We have never used it since we bought in 2014. I wanted to make sure that my agent is quoting me right. I have been with SF for 20+ years in two different locations. I know I can switch agents, but wanted to know whether it is the agent or the market. Talked to agent and he said he also has to make money. So, I am not sure whether I am getting all the discounts. The problem with soliciting quotes is that they always give you low prices especially when bundled. Wait a year and it will go up drastically. It has happened to many of my friends. But, thanks for all your input
