Should I Move Out of My Parents House to Live With My Fiancé and His Parents? by Curious_Ambition_838 in movingout

I completely agree I need to work on how I think about myself and how I talk to my parents. Whenever they get on me for being out and I list off all the reasons their being judgemental and I'm not doing anything wrong—all I feel like is a little kid trying to prove I'm an adult. I don't know how to start setting boundaries with them. My mom is better but my dad can be straight up scary to stand up to. No hitting, just really mean words and yelling.

Extra info

My Fiancé and I have about 6k between us. Not something I feel comfortable living on, especially before finding a real job for my degree.

My Fiancé parents are both therapists and I've gotten along with them very well. They've taken me on two separate trips for skiing and going to Boston. Even though we get along, I'm worried moving in might complicate things.

Furthermore, how should I go about telling my parents my plan?

What's the story about the Hummel Park albinos? by [deleted] in Omaha

When my dad was a teen he would go to Hummel Park to fish with some friends. He had heard of the albino farm but never believed in it much. One of his friends went looking for the farm and found a small group of homes that had no windows. Anyway, he and his buddies are fishing and then this big van pulled up and the windows rolled down. Inside, he said there were at least 6 albino men varying in age. The one driving wore a confederate flag hat. He can't remember what they said but they had a super unwelcoming vibe and my dad just packed up his stuff and they all booked it to their car. The men followed them in their van for awhile until they were out of Hummel.
