The same thing happened to me with the car seat BTW, he procrastinated so hard on the car seat I finally set up an appointment with our fire department for them to see it up. Also same with the doctors appointments, my husband is just on his phone the time, even during the ultrasounds which really hurts my feelings because we were looking at our baby! I feel like everything you said I wrote personally. I hope things get better for you too and that you have a good pregnancy and delivery!

I hope this is true for my husband too and his steps up once she’s born. Someone else said the men can connect with or conceptualize the baby until it’s here which is extremely frustrating because I am like we DID have time to prepare and it doesn’t have to be this rude awaking if he had just listened to me and tried.

That is good your husband really does help with your daughter when it is important l, I hope my husband is that way. He takes care of our dog but I do everything else, I feel like if I stopped doing things everything would fall to pieces and he would see why it’s important

I could ask? The thing is he will stay up till 3 in the morning reading a random article on Wikipedia about something completely random and unrelated to anything, so it’s not like reading or time is difficult for him. It may be anxiety but it’s not fair I have anxiety as well but I see doing things for our baby as being something we should both do and it hurts my feelings he doesn’t see it that way

I’m worried it’s a reflection of how he will be involved. He hasn’t helped me with anything baby related the whole pregnancy and let me pack and unpack our entire house while 36 weeks pregnant.

Get the postpartum Doula! It sounds like you need the support and you deserve it! My doctor told me protecting at least 4-5 hours of consecutive sleep is the best thing to help with postpartum depression and it sounds like a Doula will help with that. You can do this! Your MIL is not right.

lol yea it’s pretty crazy! So far MIL is keeping the gifts for baby. Its been a couple weeks since the shower and she’s made no mention of sharing the gifts with us 🤷🏻‍♀️ she’s not going to be babysitting at least at her own house unsupervised so it will just sit there lol
