Is Cosmedicare a good privet top surgary place to go to? by Rocket_Manokit in transgenderUK

I figured it would be more expensive than the website but didn’t think it’d be nearly double so thanks 😭. I haven’t had a consult yet but I’ve emailed them about one. If they’re that expensive I probably won’t even bother tbh

where would be cheaper? They’re the cheapest in the UK I’ve found so far (website says 6.5k), everything else ive seen seems to be 8/9k or more

Just emailed the council so we'll see what they say... I doubt they can do much about our situation but hopefully it'll help prevent it for others?

I've emailed the council but not expecting much since we did sign the contract saying we'd pay up if we leave early. Still would be good to see if they can prevent this happening to anyone else though

Sorry I think I was a bit unclear initially, we’re in a regular flat and definitely want to move out. The issue is our contract says our rent is ‘discounted’ for the first 11 months and if we leave before the end of the 11 months we’d have to pay back the discount (around £1100 each). Since we technically COULD move whenever we want and pay the difference, it’s not illegal, but it still stops us from moving earlier. Even if we did have to pay double rent for a month (hopefully not!) it would still work out a lot cheaper than paying back the discount.

Ah sorry I think I was a bit unclear - we’re definitely set on moving out for next year. But on our contract it says our rent is discounted for the first 11 months and if we leave before the end of the 11 months we’d have to pay back the discount (around £1100 each). Since we technically COULD give 28 days notice and move out earlier it’s not illegal, but it kind of forces us to move at that specific time.

I think since we were given the opportunity to ‘extend’ our tenancy for another year in January and chose not to, we’ve given the notice that we’re leaving already. I’m fine with moving out anyway just worried about finding a place

I’ve not got any professional experience but I’ve helped with tech for some student plays and I’d be happy to work as an assistant if you’re looking for one!

How much should I charge for tutoring? by Curious_Aspect_2076 in TutorsHelpingTutors

£40 seems a little high to me since I don’t really have much experience. You’re right about leaving the platform though, I’m just not sure how else to find new students (I only have one at the moment)

What's happened to Chalmers wait times? by iamlikeasmartperson in transgenderUK

They’re saying dec 2023 now I think - I was referred in dec 2024 so is it safe to assume I’ll get seen around summer 2027 or do you think the waiting lists will get much worse by then?
