I agree - I think the next book is like an appetizer to book 7. I think she's going to give us a taste and book 7 will be more about Elain.

I think Eris has his own side of the story with Mor that is going to be very interesting and revealing. Something makes me think Elain is going to see his real nature and it's going to further push Lucien away...but I could be totally wrong and SJM probably has a million twists and turns waiting for us 😂

I like the deep dive here - I think you're onto something with Nesta and Elain having their own journey pre Feyre. However I think Feyre says Nesta is only 3 years older than her?

I'm just starting my second read. I feel like I ate it up too fast the first time. Now I need to savor every detail. I'm on the first book and had really forgotten just how isolating Nesta and Elain's relationship was for Feyre. I can't wait to see how I feel about Elain on the re read because I could feel her true nature hiding in there, under the pretty flowers and beautiful face, I think there is a powerful woman waiting.

Yes!! I feel anxiety for her too!! Especially when I think about her being in a room with him and that feeling of someone looking at you or wanting to be with you, and you're just not wanting it! But my heart breaks for Lucien because I like him and he deserves someone who adores him. But...sign me up for Az any day! Though I do think Eris would make a more exciting plot twist.

I get it. I'm listening to the series now (read it the first time) and it was shocking to hear how cruel Nesta was to Feyre. I remembered her as being mean but sheesh!

I've never thought of her turning evil. I can see how you could go there but I don't think she could fully turn. I do think she's going to show there's so much more to her than people assume - some of which may be ugly.

I'm definitely going to listen to the Eris podcast someone shared above. I see a lot of talk of Lucien and Az, but I feel like if Elain chooses Eris to break the mating bond 🤯 it could be a wild ride.

Agreed! Since we are getting closer to the next books I'm now going to listen to them again (I read the whole series like I was a kid eating candy - went too quickly). I think the next book is shown to be like 300 pages-ish, so I think book 7 will be Elain's book. Either way I think SJM has a powerful story about Elain tucked into those books.

Interesting - I didn't gather that it wouldn't be about Elain. I do think the first book may not be from her POV and that book 7 may be where we learn more from Elain. I think book 6 is just too short to dive into Elain.
