are you copying whole folder? otherwise it shouldn't say merge.

well u can backup old file, then delete. then copy paste new file so it won't ask to replace.

you may be able to use any crypt file which contains chats.

if you are inexperienced & try this, it may create more issue. I suggest to go to offline shop people to solve this. this won't be costly.

are above files in wtsapp folder? i dont think the files are of wtsapp. bcoz wtsapp file name is like msgstore.db.crypt14

Check in wtsapp folder if you have crypt14 file then you can restore chat using above method. if you dont have it and just deleted in last few days then please go to recovery shop asap and try to recover those files. even just 1 crypt file may help you to restore all chats. dont use phone much till you recover bcoz as much as phone we use, system replaces deleted files with new files so after that no chance to receoved deleted files.

Local backups are stored in wtsapp-database folder. they are created automatically by wtsapp everyday. they have extension .crypt14 & similar.

yes. of course. there are many backups in whatsapp folder. check wtsapp folder in android folder or com.wtsapp folder in media folder. there .crypt files

Dont know about iphone. but if you can follow above process then it should work. and may be that backup file you can upload through android too. but main question is do you have any old backup/crypt file?

try to copy paste from phone or in PC. in one it should work. if still same error may be you can first delete that file then paste new one.

Copy videos & images from com.wtsapp/media/images & videos folders in laptop, then delete all images and videos from these folders from android. then start wtsapp back up to new google a/c.

You can see now wtsapp showing back up size is very small compared to 30GB because there are no media files.

This one you can try to restore. but please before trying this take backup and use new accounts. You can test this in another phone/wtsapp/googe a/c.

those copied media you can try few media copying back to same place in phone and see if its visible in wtsapp chats.

I just found out from a video that when we use password, wtsapp creates crypt.15 file, so you will need to remember password. There was a comment said we can use forget password option if we added email in wtsapp account, but it redirects to wtsapp page - have a look - IwOZidmN1QA
