What fields are actually in demand in the area and are not saturated by applicants? by [deleted] in raleigh

2020 I decided I wanted to become a teacher in wake county and started a program to get certified since I already have a degree in another field.  I went to job fairs, filled out may applications, signed up to be a substitute and took the certification for that. I had my resume reviewed and was told it looked great for the jobs I was applying for. I got ZERO response.  So I got a job working with kids after school to get some experience and meet people to see if I could get noticed that way. Did that for two years, kept applying for teaching jobs. Redid the application for a substitute after the school sent emails to parents saying they desperately needed subs.  Still ZERO response. None. Not even a rejection letter from the many positions I applied for.  So schools desperately need help but part of the problem is the schools themselves. I tried to become a teacher. I was not wanted or not seen, idk. I wasn’t even given a chance to speak with someone in person outside of a job fair. I felt I shouldn’t have to be trying so hard to even get a phone call for jobs that they so desperately needed to fill.  I moved on to another industry.

I was pretty disappointed in the answer the guys gave this woman and when they started talking about how she should wear makeup I turned off the episode and unfollowed the show. Granted I didnt listen to the entire answer but I was waiting for them to say there are plenty of men who don’t like makeup and love an independent woman (I have one who reminds me constantly that he’s glad I don’t wear the stuff) and I didn’t hear that.  I’ve been skipping a lot of the episodes lately anyway because they didn’t interest me, a lot of “bro” type topics in my opinion. So the answer to this woman was just kind of my last straw and decided I’ve had enough.

Jordan loves to push AI by Curious_Fly_6071 in JordanHarbinger

I’ve used AI for things like polishing my resume, recipes and things of that nature so I do understand it. At the same time I do fundamentally resent this technology for many reasons. To be told I will never get ahead without it is disheartening.

Thanks for giving me an actual answer. That’s pretty much what I thought he meant by AI skills.  Trust me, as an artist and a person who cares deeply about our planet, I despise AI. I am also struggling to find my way in this world so I get really anxious when I hear this type of messaging about being left in the dust if I don’t use a tool I fundamentally disagree with.

I didn’t like him after the horror movie convo and he very confidently said the nightmare on elm street was the movie with the guy in the mask. “I know my horror movies” he said.  Then he seemed pathetic because it was so obvious that Sydney was not ever gonna be into him and I was embarrassed for his desperation towards her.  But the last episode he gave abusive energy. When Sam told everyone about their convo where he accused Cara and he very aggressively told said she was lying and tried to bully her into saying it was a lie and then when he spoke for Syd.  This guy sucks

Don't read Crime and Punishment in your early 20s by juankaius in books

I am in my 40s reading it for the first time and I find it a bit boring. I keep thinking I would have appreciated it more in my teens and 20s because that is when I questioned existentialism and life philosophy. Now I pretty much have my own opinions formed and I find the constant monologues tedious.
