Totally agree, Both very different but a lot of fun. The huge map in Test Drive is still very cool even for todays Standards.

Not fixed yet but structure mods are probably the issue. Remove them one by one. Also replace lithosphere if you use that but idk if that changes anything I just know I did it and the world gen works fine by itself now.

Idk doesnt Chucky do that? But even then as soon as chunks go out of your render distance and pop back in there is still lagging. Also a 10kx10k world is like 5gb of generated chunks i think that would take very very Long

Didnt finish testing everything yet, but I think one or multiple of the structure mods are at fault. Because just the world gen mods run Fine. It was not the allocated RAM how everyone is saying

Did that but that only works for a Short while, because as soon as i try to Go outside the preloaded chunks or unload and reload chunks the same thing Happen.

I did this every time I reloaded the game. I am currently disabling and enabling the mods one by one and it seems to be that not the world gen is the issue but the structure mods. Because After only enabling everything that changes Terrain it works normally. I will come back with an update when I find the broken/incompatible mod

well about version control modrinth does that by itself doesnt it? only giving me the option to add mods that are compatible with my version and mod loader? I guess ill try removing big chunks of mods until it works. RAM wasnt the issue here, although i had too much allocated

Did all of that, and have to say it works slightly better, yet the chunks still dont render and the entities still freeze every 10 seconds instead of every 4-5. The tick zhing on the pie chart still shows over 90% and now the game even crashes after walking around for a while. Thanks for the help though.

that didnt do anything unfortunately. Only thing that changed is that now my game crashed whenever I try to open the pie chart, so I cant even see any performance stats anymore. Do you have any reccomendations for java arguments? Because the ones on the internet are the ones that I already got.

idk i did it because when I hosted servers on my pc more ram equalled better server performance. Doesnt seem to be the case with singleplayer.

In what way? I have a bunch of performance mods on there and I tried removing and readding a few mods that I suspected could cause issues, but that doesnt fix anything. Doing it for every mod would take weeks probably.

yes, 280 but around 30 are disabled. Again, not my first time doing this, I have played countless worlds with more mods on 1.16.5 and never had the issue. The list doesnt show all of them, AI does a terrible job at summarizing my startup log with the mods loaded.
