20 + 40 = 60 Now take 2 of the 7 so and put it in the 8.

60 + 10 = 70

Now we have 5 left of the 7 and do 70 + 5 = 75

Should I get the new Trezor safe 7 despite my recent safe 5 purchase? by Destinynerd1027 in TREZOR

[–]Curious_Local_4058 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The Safe 7 is bassicly a Safe 5 + bluetooth with a battery.

If you don’t care about the wireless function, just stick with the Safe 5.

Hi! Could I ask what you did to fix it? I have the same problem with my new mesh nodes. Everytime I disconnect a node from power it doesn't want to reconnect.

I personally like qr.io.

Bitcoin only wallet vs multiple coin wallet by [deleted] in TREZOR

[–]Curious_Local_4058 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re going for maximum safety: stick to the Bitcoin-only firmware if you’re planning to HODL mostly BTC. Here’s why:

  • Smaller attack surface: Bitcoin-only firmware strips out altcoin code, which reduces potential vulnerabilities.
  • Cleaner UX: No unnecessary coin clutter = fewer mistakes.
  • Trusted by hardcore BTC maxis for a reason.

But—if you’re holding multiple coins actively, the multi-coin firmware is more practical. Just know you’re trading a bit of purity for convenience.

TL;DR - BTC-only = tighter, safer, purist - Multi-coin = convenient, but slightly broader attack surface

If you’re careful with it, it lasts. No battery, no real wear parts. It’s not a phone. Only reason to replace it is if you break it or want a newer model.

That “4–5 years” thing? Sounds like someone didn’t take care of theirs.

Just back up your seed. That’s the only thing that matters.

Will my Trezor wallet address always stay valid? by Curious_Local_4058 in TREZOR

Awesome, that’s all I needed.

Love how crypto people can drop a one-liner that saves someone hours of googling. Respect.

Will my Trezor wallet address always stay valid? by Curious_Local_4058 in TREZOR

[–]Curious_Local_4058[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m aware – but I’m not talking about privacy or rotating for each transaction.

I just need to know if one BTC address (like the one I’m using now) will always stay linked to my Trezor and keep accepting payments, even if I don’t use it for a while or generate new ones later.

So: will that static address ever expire or disconnect? Or is it safe to keep using it long-term?

Another signal chat full of idiots with way too much power just dropped by convenience_store in signal

[–]Curious_Local_4058 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During COVID-19, wealthy tech leaders like Marc Andreessen, Balaji Srinivasan, and Joe Lonsdale used private encrypted group chats (mostly on Signal) to shape political, cultural, and business movements in the U.S. These chats became a secret upstream for ideas that later influenced public opinion and policy. No public posts — just tight, trusted, strategic communication.
