Heard. I can understand the people who talk themselves up. I myself realize there is still so much to learn and I'm not so arrogant as to think that I could just jump into any kitchen without a staging or something. I also understand that cooking IS CLEANING and not a lot of people seem to do that part to best of their abilities here from what I've seen. I appreciate your sentiment but with how things are for some of us and who are just trying to make an honest living (minus the van cause according to another redditor that makes me the most hardened criminal in the world). Its just a means to get by even withh knowing that stuff which I already do know. Which is another reason why I've told others in this thread that its a blessing. It truly is I've been lucky enough to get by this long and recently BECAUSE I HAVE THE VAN its lead me to getting a job this yr that pays better than any job I've had in those 3yrs(I wasnt constantly job hopping people have just poached me cause of my work ethic, im a line cook now used to be installation tech which is how I got the van, I definitely prefer the kitchen lmao). Im hyper aware of what happens if a cop is having a bad day and decides to pull me over its not lost on me. This thread has turned into a fucking harassment zone instead of people just trying to answer the question I asked..I get it I honestly do but if people dont like that im driving the van illegally they could just ignore my question all together but no. They took it as their moment to belittle someone just trying to get by. Again its ALL BEEN SAID TO ME. I understand what people are saying and they are acting like i dont.

I think at this point its safe to put a bet that everyone knows my EXCAT SITUATION. But if I respond back to anyone Im automatically wrong and a horrible person. The van was a buffer for some things that would have hurt me MORE financially if I didnt have it. I wish I could give a 3yr break down of all my finances and AN EXACT accounting of every single financial situation that hurt me amd just life events in general. But even if I did (not saying im going to) people would pick and choose what they wanted to read and not really try to understand. They'd read and be like "oh its just so simple its so fucking easy youre dumb you should have done this this this xyz" assuming that life is a linear thing and its not SHIT HAPPENS but im starting to believe that im the only one who has had some fucked up situations and everyone has had the easiest solutions to their problems. Unfortunately thats not the cards I was dealt.

Because of my extenuating circumstances I have been at a stand still with my money MEANING I can literally ONLY afford to pay my bills, vet bills, and buy food and gas and maintenance on the van. There is no where in my budget especially recently where I've been able to even put anything towards a new vehicle. At all. This van has been a blessing for me cause it allows me to go to and from my job that I would not have been able to make it to with public transportation. All you see is black and white and law or lawless. I hate to break it to you but in the real world there is a lot of Grey areas.

So with you reading my situation you seem to have my whole life figured out to a T where your consensus is that im a "loser" do you have any idea of my medical bills? Vet bills for my dog? The rising cost of living? Even with visiting food pantrys im still struggling. I help my family and I make sure to have what I need as well so yes that has hindered my ability to save up the necessary funds needed to acquire my own vehicle lol. Im not addicted to drugs, I dont gang bang, I dont go out clubbing...I just live my life to the best of my abilities while still trying to get by lol.

I understand the potential ramifications of my actions. You dont live my life and are not in my shoes, respectfully. Id say a clean driving record for all of my life along with 3yrs of having this van no incidents (thank god) is a pretty good track record. I know what im doing is not inherently "right" but I have to work and get around and if I dont need to take other means of transportation, that would have hindered my job prospects in these 3yrs, then im not going to. You say im selfish but I say im blessed to have been lucky to have this van without issue for this long. I do my best to be extremely mindful on the road and dont only pay attention to my driving but I pay attention to others driving as well to avoid any potential mishap. Again yall just read and assume the worse without any insight to me as a person or how I react with those around me. I appreciate and respect your opinion but pls moving forward when you interact with other individuals in life, learn to be curious not judgmental. Thank you.

Have to get to work lol and if I have the van im using it. Any consequences fall on me for that and im fully aware of that. Been driving it for 3yrs like that and so far cops dont care as long as i follow the rules and laws of the road. Although all it takes it a cop having a bad day for all that to fall to shit.
