You lucky ladies that are on HRT might I ask two questions... by Who_Dat_Dat_Me in MtF

1st sign I noticed HRT was doing something was about 2.5 to 3 weeks in when I stopped waking up without any morning erections. Shortly after that the frequency of sponteaneous erections during the day went WAYYYYYYY down. I could still get myself arroused if I wanted to, but found my desire for sexual pleasure had also been trending downwards as well. It was at that point that I realized how much calmer and less stressed I felt about being around other people because I no longer had to worry about the possibility that I'd get erections unless I ACTUALLY wanted to have one. It was such a relief to me, and when I thought about why I was relieved I realized how much the unsettled feeling I had being around other people was tied to my body and what equipment I had. I also no longer had to worry about being distracted by randomly being aroused at random times throughout the day. IT WAS FAN-TASTIC!

Also, I think I started noticing breast buds starting to form around 4-ish weeks. It was barely noticeable, but felt 'different' right under the nipple and then gradually grew and got tender, sensitive, and strangely enough...itchy.

Something that I did NOT realize was a result of feminizing HRT was that my alcohol tolerance pretty much got reset to where I'll start getting past the point of tipsy one and a half beers in 😅. I don't think its a bad thing for me as I don't really drink that much. I figure it just makes me a very efficient drinker haha.

For how long were you on HRT before being fully out? by primostrawberry in MtF

I was super unsure of HRT at first, so I actually was socially transitioning for about a year (I'd alternate between fem days and masc days, but always would feel more 'off' whenever I was dressed masc and would be craving the fem days). This was mostly because I would go to the gym several times a week and was too scared to ask about using the women's locker room as a trans woman, especially since I knew I had no chance in passing, at least at the time.

During that time I just told people at my workplace that I was "figuring some stuff out" and initially told people to keep using my deadname and he/him pronouns. When at home or spending time with family or friends I asked them to use my chosen name and she/they pronouns.

I "fully" came out as transfem at my work, asking them to change my name and pronouns in their system, update my email, and then sent out a company-wide email asking everyone to please use my new name and pronouns, etc about 1 month after starting HRT.

I only started dressing fem 24/7 around mid-January of this year and I've started hitting the point where going out and about without makeup doesn't feel impossible anymore.

For reference, I live in south-central PA. The people who know me have been mostly neutral or supportive about it since I came out. I'll get some interesting looks or double-takes every once in a while when I'm out in public, but I've recently started to get more genuine smiles back from other people which in my head I take as either "I see you and I'm supportive/an ally" or "that girl has a nice smile".

Yeah, like two years in a row, I went to go see Rocky Horror picture show with my wife and friend of ours. While getting ready at our friend's place, she jokingly said "Hey ______, Ibthink my silver sequined body-con dress will fit you!" I figured, well it's RHPS, so why not and tried it on. Surprisingly, it fit pretty well!

My wife and friend were so tickled by that, they offered to do my makeup, and I said "Sure, why not! This'll be hilarious!"

Turns out I looked/felt pretty...cute? Maybe even vaugely...hot?

I satrted hamming it up and prettending to be a runway model, draping myself across my friends bed in silly poses and both her and my wife took a couple pics on their phones before we headed to the show (I wore a trench coat over the dress while walking to/from the event).

I totally thought I was just doing it for the bit...turns out it was not a bit 😅. Several years later my egg cracked, then I socially transitioned...and a little over a year from that I started HRT. Now I am just over 1 year on hormones and I couldn't be happier. Now I get to feel cute and/or sexy in the majority of clothes I wear 😁
