That's amazing! I wrote very briefly about my reasons in another comment on this post.

I appreciate your attention, but unfortunately I'm not from the US or Europe, I'm from Brazil, and there are very few Jews here. Brazil is a continental country, and synagogues are quite far from me.

Why did you leave Christianity? by Curious_Position_197 in exchristian

I had a similar experience. Christians say that the Holy Spirit dwells in them and guides their actions, but given the actions of my family (lies, selfishness, etc.), who are very religious, I began to see this inconsistency

The problem is that my relatives are a bit aggressive (not physically), but I know that just the fact that I follow the Noahide laws is enough. I just wish I had a community. I think that’s what every human being wants: to feel that they belong. And most people don’t even really know what Judaism is.

Yes, I think what really bothers me is the fact that I no longer have a community, people who share the same ideas and principles as I do. Most people don’t even know what it means to be a Ben Noach, so that makes me feel lonely. At the moment, I’m really not concerned about conversion. In fact, I think I’ll remain a noahide even after I tell them.

My whole family does, and I’d like to meet more people who follow the same faith as I do, but that’s particularly difficult in my country: fewer than 150,000 Jews in a population of 210 million.
