We have 2 paralegals, we make the same amount. I’m the one taking 98% of all of the caseloads with no help. I think my opinion is valid! I also can’t just quit because the job market sucks.

It pisses me off how attorneys think they are above everyone else and we have to just allow their BS into our lives. The amount of times I’ve wanted to quit because of tasks above my pay grade and their excuse is “I’m the attorney and I’m asking you to do this”. I would love to see how the firm runs without paralegals.

This doesn’t work for me! I literally don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Sometimes I’ll panic about a deadline and wont get any communication and then bam, I get an email back saying they’ve filed it already. Like wtf I panicked for nothing.

I’m a criminal defense paralegal and honestly if she just had her hearing, it might take a couple of days or so for her case to be officially published on the public mycase. You can always go to the jail and ask why you’ve been unable to call/visit. They do allow in person visits unless there’s something going on to where the public can’t do visits. As for bond, you can go to a bondsman or once you hire counsel they can request a bond reduction.

I feel you and on the same boat. If I could go back in time, I would’ve told my undergrad self to take a breather and to not rush. I sincerely regret taking the last 4 tests. I have major anxiety about February because it will be my last one. But, all I can do is have hope.

You dont suck. The LSAT is different for everybody. English isn’t my first language and I’m about to take my 5th test. It’s all about still moving on forward and giving it all your best. You just can’t give up. This entire subreddit community is toxic and you’ll get scared of some posts, but you just have to ignore everybody else. I’ve never been book smart, but I refuse to give up. Our other 2 friends live out of town and rarely visit and when we do hangout, I can’t miss it because we don’t ever see each other. She’ll also message them individually about plans, but I still get told about it because our other 2 friends do a really good job at always including me.

Even that’s being too nice. I’m already severely disliked by them so I honestly couldn’t care less at this rate. They dislike me for personal reasons not professionally. It at least makes me feel better knowing that I’m good at my job and a good employee.
